It was in my hometown last year, KC. If you google the pictures you can see the insane amount of people there. Probably around 150,000 on day one. Detroit looked at us and said, hold my beer. You really showed up and showed out. Great time to be a Lions fan. Congrats from a Chiefs diehard.

This skipped a lot of picks, the biggest shock of the Draft was definitely my Falcons taking Michael Penix Jr. at 8, despite us just having signed Kirk Cousins to a 100 mil guaranteed deal. I thought for sure we'd go edge rusher or wide receiver. It's a really controversial pick.

So you know, Quinyon Mitchell is beyond thrilled to be a Philadelphia Eagle. His defensive idol, Darius Slay, is an Eagle so they will be teammates. The thing with Quinyon is he a serious young man, loyal and a man of high character. He is not a beat-your-chest type of player but was the highest rated cornerback in the draft and came from a small school. The fact that he fell to Philly at #22 is because the first 14 teams went offense in the draft (a record). We Philly fans are also beyond thrilled to have him!! Go Eagles!

Great kid, great players. But Terrion Arnold was the top-rated CB by almost everyone. Still, it is a great pick for the Eagles--and he will be a great cover guy.

Howie does that magic! Great day Philly sports!!
@MichaelCouture8712 күн бұрын
@@gregcable3250 Aside from Daniel Jeremiah, I'd say a strong majority had Mitchell rated higher. Pre-combine/Senior Bowl was a different story, but once he showed out at both I think he was pretty universally viewed as the best outside corner. Also says something that PHI took him 1st...their board usually holds up pretty well.
@MichaelCouture8712 күн бұрын
...that said, if my Ravens can get Nate Wiggins to add 10-15lbs he'll be right there in that conversation as well. Both Quinyon and Terrion were absolute steals though. Then PHI adding DeJean on top of Mitchell...not even fair.

Seems like he's more on top of the draft than all the lifelong Patriots fans I grew up around. If you guys want a couple channels to watch I'd recommend Flemlo Raps who makes great content covering players upbringing/stories (recent Mike Evans one was great), and (biasly) Ravens Wired... it's a Hard Knocks-style show covering game week and mic'd up in game moments for the Ravens. Best social media team in the league, IMO.

They only skipped the picks of people who had their own draft party. The draft usually sends out about 20 invites and sometimes prospects accept them and sometimes they dont. I think i would prefer a party at my house with my whole family but walking on stage and taking the jersey from roger goodell is also probably a lot of young kids dreams. Either way this video was of the people who accepted invites and got drafted in-person.

Seriously crossing my fingers, since while my dad's school had a top five pick this year (Joe Alt going to the Chargers, which makes a lot of sense to me), my _pro_ team traded completely out of the first round this year. I guess it could help get more people, in general, for this season, with the crazy cap situation that the Bills have, but ... I am seriously concerned that the Bills feel like they have three slot receivers at the top of the depth chart.

Pro football is king in the USA. Anyone who tells you that college football is bigger than pro football, doesn't have a pro team anywhere nearby or worth seeing. College is the minor leagues, boys becoming men. These are men, the best. College football is a great party and all that, but pro football is serious sport stuff. 25 million people in the US watched the college national championship. 124 million in the US watched the Super Bowl. College teams get great local support, but no one in Pennsylvania gives a s**t about Alabama football and vice versa with Alabama and Penn State. But the NFL is a national league and virtually all games are consequential.
@riccorich13 күн бұрын
College is technically bigger, NFL just makes alot of money, but College is Bigger
@gregcable325013 күн бұрын
@@riccorich Technically bigger? On what metric? They get more attendance at the big stadium schools, but the interest is almost completely localized. College football is really a lot of little local football events and regional leagues. The NFL is Nationwide. As I said, no one in Pittsburgh gives a s**t about what Tennessee Vols do--hell, no one in Kentucky does--and vice versa. It is a completely localized phenomenon that is mainly supported by a captive constantly rotating audience of 18-22 year-olds (and alumni) who want to party on the weekends, and the game is a big part of that. They want their team to win, but the winning is almost secondary for many of those "fans". I went to a major school and the male students were quite interested in the win, but if you lost, well, it was still a good tailgate party and you were able to eat and get buzzed. The women students barely cared at all (or even knew much about the game/rules)--they were (with some exceptions) almost completely there for the social aspects--seeing, being seen, drinking, eating, talking, etc. NFL fans care about nearly all of the games each week since your team can be affected by them. It is not even close. Again, 25 million viewers for the Michigan-Somebody national Championship game v 125 million for the Super Bowl.

College football is the minor leagues.I beg to differ they're buddy row! There wouldn't even be an N f l draft if it Wasn't for college football! Just because your college football team sucks doesn't mean you have to ruin it for the rest of us. I would suggest that you should have kept that Comment to yourself! Have a little bit more respect for the men that are going To be playing in this league. Pro football is crap It's going to woke. And it's losing membership viewers Everyday It continues with its wokenes.
