Always loved watching a coach say "you make the bad call, but i get the tech" shits hilarious refs go unreprimanded, they think fans are okay with them not being picked for playoff assignments when we really want them fired like anyone else would be
@ScruffyNerfhurder9 ай бұрын
Tom Thibodeau got a Tech for yelling at his own player. The ref just assumed it was towards him because refs think everything is about them. They have too much ego to say they were wrong and change the call.

You can’t argue balls/strikes in baseball because the game would drag on forever.

From NBA rules "Cursing or blaspheming an official shall not be considered the only cause for imposing technical foul. Running tirades, continuous criticism or griping may be sufficient cause to assess a technical. Excessive misconduct shall result in ejection from the game."

I can't believe you two aren't all over Ted Lasso! An American with zero experience coaching soccer is suddenly recruited to do just that and for a British team no less. Very funny and well rounded show.

I'm on the side of the officials in sports because after refereeing and umpiring for a few years, I learned that 100% of the players and 99% of the coaches and fans DON'T KNOW THE RULES.
@areguapiri9 ай бұрын
@@rmk2336...At youth levels, yes. At college and professional levels, they know the rules.

Ahh yes the person that probably umpired 3 little league games is comparing coaches at that level to NBA coaches.. To think 99% of coaches in the nba don’t know the rules is straight up ignorant or delusional🤣

Slamming the ball on the ground has been a technical foul as long as I can remember, and i'm 46 years old. That's not new.
@ScruffyNerfhurder9 ай бұрын
Usually if they catch the ball it is not a tech. Doesn't matter if its not new, its BS. Also context of what had happened previously in that specific game with that ref and that player is important.

I agree with you Daz, these refs should be replacable mid game if proven they failed to do their job.

NBA refs job is tough. HOWEVER the coaches complaining about "non calls" is purely based on the fact that refs call WEAK foul calls all the time. So when one player actually doesnt get a foul call for something weak, the coaches naturally explode. The main problem is that the refs call weak foul calls too much, so when ONE little hit doesnt go a players way, the coaches and players end up crying about it

4:23 It's lebron's goofy as style of play and the refs always calling his way he was able to use his manchild body to possess the ball. Not an obvious or blatant no-call but it's just lebron's style of play that the NBA has come to accept and has practically ruined the game. Coach probably saw the slightest shove that through the guy off balance when he already had momentum and coach exaggerated it, that's my guess.

NBA refs are terrible. Referees need to start being held accountable in some way. Not really in cases here in this video but as of lately refs have been blatantly unfair and awful.

NBA refs have WAY too much power to control the game. Especially late in the game. Their ego's need to be chopped down by the league and let players play. Stop calling weak fouls to control the game
