High point of my college debate class was actually getting to use "Jane, you ignorant slut!" to start my counter. When stopped (Immediately by the professor) I pointed out it was completely legitimate. 1) Her name was Jane. 2) I'm being nice and assuming she's only ignorant, and not simply too stupid to understand the facts. 3) I'm willing to bring in testimonials from others, but can drop the final point because that would take time not previously allotted for. He let me continue, but had to drop my opening because it wasn't relevant to my counter, only the person I was countering.

There were so many great skits during the early years of SNL. My favorites were the Bass-O-Matic commercial parody, Dan Aykroyd as Julia Child cutting her hand while butchering a chicken, and Gilda Radner as Emily Latella, an old lady who would discuss such topics as "Violence on television" (but she would mishear it as "Violins on television") and after a long discussion on the topic, would be corrected by the moderator for her error, she would look at the camera and say "Ohhhh, that's very different.
