Any time they say invading the west coast especially into the Seattle and Tacoma area in Washington to take over a deep water port have no idea why there is such a large military presence here and what they're protecting. You have to go decently far into the Puget Sound to get to Seattle and even further to Tacoma. All awhile you have to pass by multiple islands and hilltops along the shore that can easily be set up with a missile system for defense against oncoming enemy ships. There are old forts found in these exact spots to protect against this very scenario. You have one of the largest Naval bases in the country protecting this area. The submarine force here carry about 1/3 of the U.S.'s entire actively deployed nukes (about 720 nukes). The USS Nimitz aircraft carrier with it's carrier strike group are based in this region. You have multiple Naval Air Stations in this area protecting the region. To top it off you have one of the largest Army bases where the 1st Special Forces are stationed combined with an Air Force base on the southern part of the Puget Sound area. The geography in this area gives a huge advantage to the U.S.. You have a very forested and mountainous terrain and fighting against the U.S. who know this area intimately. So tell me again how invading and taking over the Seattle/Tacoma deep water ports will work? You have to fight a large military, veterans, pissed off locals having trouble getting their coffee because of an invader, terrain and likely all while in the rain. If they try, just remember, we're just a push of a button away to launch 720 nukes each capable of destroying a city and millions of people. Again, this is just from the military already there without reinforcements. Hope it never happens

To help you understand, the Starlink system that the Ukrainians are currently using is a commercial system not military.

Just for folks reference: The US not only has multiple satellite layers for intelligence collection purposes, there are also multiple aircraft platforms that fly nearly continuously collecting intelligence as well… and also high altitude unmanned aerial aircraft platforms. The U.S. and Canada also both operate NORAD which detect any airborne air assets that don’t belong to the U.S., Canada or Mexico. Mexico, the U.S. and Canada also have mutual aid agreements for the protection of the entire North American continent… for which financial protections and benefits are provided for. From a logistics standpoint alone, any invading force would be ground to a halt in short order. Invading forces would soon run short of food & fuel, mostly fuel, and would then run into a major quagmire with State National Guard units as well as the 150 Million or so armed American citizens. In short, anyone thinking they can just “walk into” the U.S., would find a rather rude wake up call before they got within 15 miles of our borders.

You are both right and both wrong on Alaska and Russia. You cannot walk to the mainland anymore that was in the Bering strait, theorized to have a frozen bridge and how Native Americans got to North America well over 10,000 years ago. That strait does not freeze anymore but there is a couple of islands that occasionally get enough frozen water that one could technically walk from the US to Russia, though both islands are uninhabited. And she is right in that Russia to Alaska is closer than UK to France if you go from islands is only 2.4 miles, that's the place is sometimes possible to walk too. So much closer than UK is to France, mainland to mainland is 55 miles from Alaska to Russia so that is further than the channel which is 20 miles, Jersey is only 42 miles away, IDk if that would count though.

The last try was by Brits in the 1770s, unfortunately it was failure as once they got past the cities they hit dense forests which they were unable to even pass and Americans took out every native guide. So the redcoats were blind and had no navigation and zero idea of the dangers in the forest. The Japanese tried in the Aleutian islands in the 1940s but were completely unprepared for the cold and mountains there. They were wiped out in two months despite digging into the mountains. We couldn’t bring heavy equipment in so it was rifles, handguns, and flamethrowers but we knew the terrain so well and the Japanese were either captured, killed, or forced to retreat.

He was loved by his men, and sadly ended up being hated for a time, by my grandma and mom, aunts and uncles, he was sadly a horrible alcoholic, being 100% native doesn’t help, anyone who knows, knows, but he also had horrendous PTSD, and could be very violent and brutual, after seeing and serving in 3 wars, in infantry. He used to be a good man, still was, but was not a nice man, at times, and our intolerance for alcohol doesn’t help at all. Probably doesn’t help, before WWII in the early stages of the Great Depression, in the territory of Alaska, him and his dad and grandparents used to hunt down Russians and Russian sympathizers and kill them, brutually, mainly by capturing them. Then hurting them up to their necks at low tide on the beach, and watching the tide come in on them. He seen that as a kid, multiple times. You think regular Americans hate Russia/soviets and communists, go find an old native, 80’s to 90’s in Alaska, and ask them about. You will learn a whole new level of hatred. For what they did to us, hint. It’s the same thing they do to Ukraine or anyone else they invade. EMP only works on energized equipment and DEFINITELY would fail against military targets. Submarines, carrying Nuclear weapons, are almost unstoppable, eventually America would use atomic weapons.

These videos rarely take into account the sheer amount of weaponry in the hands of USA citizens. Citizens have more guns than most militaries in the world. I think this includes our own military. The FBI estimates civilian owned guns to be around 600,000,000. We do like our guns. A lot.

“No better friend, no worse enemy.” Our adversaries keep making the mistake of thinking America will simply roll over and play dead if we get invaded based on past performance in overseas conflicts. Those conflicts are not the same as the U.S. being invaded. Once Americans realize an invasion has happened, it will become deadly for any invading force in short order… assuming they actually make it here to begin with.

They left out the whole Mexican American war, thing, the major details that led to it, Texas wanted help in this, as they were a territory, the US government didn’t help them, so Texas seceded, then we declared war on Texas, but Mexico kept invading Texas, which we seen as ours, even though they declared their independence as we didn’t help them, the Alamo happened, the. The us government intervened and guess who smashed Mexico down under our boot heels. The mighty USMC, and took their capitol, hence in The Marine Corps hymn “from the halls of montezuma” also during that campaign where the “blood stripe” on our dress blue uniforms comes from the battle of Chapultepec, they were earned in blood. They also left out at the battle of Baton Rouge in the war of 1812, US Marines were instrumental and the only actual military force in any numbers there, yes lots of local, including former slaves, and ones who got their freedom from that fight, they all fought hard and did amazing. And yeah, we smashed the Brit’s flat in that fight. Leadership, tactics helped, but just the crazy level of fight is what won the day, everything else just made it better.

Seattle and Tacoma Washington are heavily guarded by navy bases and Air force bases going all the way down from the straight of Jaun de Fuca. It would be suicide in that channel. Now open water ports might be slightly easier. 😅
