As a former circus clown, I am so pleased to hear Britt's affection for circus. So often, "Circus" and "Clown" are used in derogatory and demeaning ways. People unfamiliar with circus then parrot those attitudes, missing out on the wonder, joys, and fascination of circus and circus life. Britt's attitude is so refreshing. I am happy for her that she has found this wonderful, creative, pleasurable world - circus.

She’s an amazing actress. She plays Helly R with such an innocence combined with a strong sense of self determinism. She’s wiser than the rest of them and more willing to question the status quo. I believe Helly's father forced a reverse severance on her. The innie has always been working as a spokesperson for Lumen's severance programme and the outie/actual Helena was dispatched to MDR because she opposed severance. She is imprisoned, it's why she has never surrendered to being an 'innie'. There are several clues in season one that point to it. She is part of or perhaps even leader of the movement Petie told Mark about - it's why she was suddenly severed, whereas most people have been there for years.
@simoncaine88614 күн бұрын
This is a reach. If the 'real' Helly (the one with all her memories of her life) is the one we see follow through all of s1 inside Lumon, why doesn't she remember who she is? The first scene of the whole show is her not remembering who she is, and she'd have no reason to lie about that. Without spoiling anything related to s2, its far more likely that her 'never surrendering to being an innie' is more a case of her inner-child (which is kinda what the innie is, right?) being more curious than her outie. There are scenes already in s2 that suggest why her outie is the way she is and why that inner child is so absent.
