Being a former (thank God) downline of BA , she absolutely makes people feel horrible!! When I left her team and the company, I was so broken!! Some leaders in her team and the Empire are ruthless!!! Omg I remember that person whose husband was in hospital!!! 😮. I never felt as bad about myself as I did in that group, that circle!!! Thinking back to events, it was definitely cultish….. sleep deprived, hungry and if you missed ANY OF THE SPEAKERS you were chastised!!! And those after event meetings in her hotel room were brutal and that aided in my decision to leave!!!

I’m older than you, so there have been a fair amount of these phrases that I’ve had to unlearn. I still have some stuck in my lexicon so this isn’t me saying I’ve got it right, just two phrases that worked for me for this one: “low on the branch” works, also “at the bottom of the barrel” also works. Then it takes the cultural aspect out and still conveys the meaning: the least important/most gross. If anyone has better terms, please share!
