You have no idea how much the 'tab' comment echoed with me and I am SO ready for this series. I literally have a million tabs of shopping items, but also random medical research and articles I'll never read, open at all times. Friends who see my tabs ask me if I'm mad or don't get anxiety from it. It's hard to explain that it's actually the exact opposite. I don't want to live in a world where I have a few tabs or one window. They will never understand the heart palpitations that come from your browser or laptop closing it all off. It's often accompanied with a sense of recognition that "it's probably for the best" and yet swiftly followed by the sweet relief the "Restore" button, which we know does us no good but we can't resist it. Ha! Can't wait to see the next one.

This is great! So thoughtful. I am also curious about your vintage/secondhand buying practice. So many influencers in the luxury sphere focus on buying new - I know you have mentioned vestaire and depop - it would great to see a video about how you shop these sites and secondhand in general

Thank you 🤍 Shopping vintage and secondhand is definitely something I’ve started exploring more. I’ve been using Depop to find high street pieces, and I’ve recently found some great ‘curated’ vintage shops that sell designers like Jil Sander, Hermes, Acne, etc. I’ll discuss them more in next months video 🤍

My goodness, how did you know about my open tabs on my computer😂I am exactly the same, but my go to thing are bags. Bags, bags, bags. I have had my eye on other Goji type bags for a loooong time. I like that vintage top clasp look, much to my daughter’s chagrin. This is a wonderful, wonderful concept. Maybe I am not being helpful by not sharing ideas, but I will watch EVERYTHING you post. Just lovely. Thank you as always.

I did the tab thing also. Now I have made a Pinterest board named 'wish list'. I save everything that I'm thinking about buying on that board. It makes me have an overview of the things I like, and in one look I can see if things fit into my wardrobe, because I also have a board called 'bougth'. Everytime I buy something it goes from the one board to the other. And before I buy something I can look if I already have something similar in my closet.

This is utterly fantastic - so good to talk through your wishlist with you, and compare it to mine! None of my friends feel about fashion like I do - overthought/considered - so it’s soooo good to hear another person care so much about the cut of a black blazer, the heel feel of a boot…. And the tab discussion got me in the feels 🖤

I love this new series idea (and I also love lists :). Btw. Keeping a wishlist has absolutely helped me to stop impulse shopping, whenever I like something I have to like it enought to put it on my wishlist (which oddly enought makes me realize I actually dont like the item enought to 'deserve' that spot, because Id rather spend the money on sth. thats alread there) and I have to keep it on the list for at least a week. Works wonders. However, Ive noticed that a surprising number of new plants has begun to appear all over my place, so maybe its time to start a plant wishlist 🤔😅.

You really hit a tone with me when you landed on the blazer-with-3-buttons concept. This boxy blazer trend that is so big here in Scandinavia (I lived in Norway) looks really fun and great, but it really is a here today and gone tomorrow trend. My trick for getting the 3 button look (even 4 buttons is better for me) is to go directly to my own closet and fish out a slightly oversized blazer, take it to my trusty tailor who does a good button match and sorts out one or two new button holes. This is a genius way of getting exactly what you want. Don’t worry about the fit across the back or the creases where the lapels used to be. A good tailor kan sort all of that out. My transformation-blazers blow any Margiela/Acne/Anine Bing/Henrik Vibskov/Ganni right out of the pond‼️Good luck in case you decide to try this, and then please show us the results.❤️

I was bored out of my mind these pandemic years and used fast-fashion online shopping as a way to break the monotony, I suppose. I just couldn’t seem to stop myself, now I have a bulging wardrobe of low-quality, synthetic clothes that aren’t comfortable to wear. The urge has, fortunately, gone away on its own, but there’s a price to pay, too much junk and debt.

Hi Brittany. I really loved this video. I always have a bunch of tabs open too. I just bought a black Jil Sander blazer from Vestiaire that fits your description but is double breasted. It is just slightly tight on me across the back so I'm on the fence about keeping it. If this is of interest to you, I can send you a photo - either as inspiration or if it fits the bill for you I may consider selling just to cover what I paid (which was like $150 to $200, I'd have to check). No pressure. It just popped into my mind as you were describing what you are looking for. I'm looking forward to more of these types of videos!

I worked at a boutique that sold Mother Denim and I still maintain that they're the softest and most supple jeans I've worn! Shopping secondhand is great but it does mean that my closet is less considered. I went jeans shopping with a friend recently and she got her perfect pairs. I later bought secondhand pairs of Levi's Column and Closed Denim Pedal Pushers. I also learned how to knit this month, so I can actually make a lot of my wardrobe essentials now. And a friend got her first Margiela tabis so I'm knitting her some tabi socks!

I’d really recommend vintage shopping especially to curb emotional buys but still get your wishlist or ‘basics with a twist’ items that you’ll actually love and wear. I noticed you don’t really wear/showcase vintage so thought I’d put my two cents in :) Personally, I find the thrill of the hunt (which can take time but that’s not a bad thing, it lets you decide how much you actually want/could style/will wear the item!) and then actually finding that unique piece is sooo much more satisfying and makes me at least more likely to treasure it and have that connection and hopefully wear it too!

First off, Happy New Year! So great to see you back and happy (looking absolutely 👌 as well - love the new hair) and this new sit-down-let's-talk-fashion content is great - exactly what I'm after. I'll be signing up to your Patreon for sure. This next comment is intended with love and kindness, but it struck me at the end of the video that most of the products mentioned were leather (or sheepskin)...which I elect not to purchase (at least not first hand, creating demand) for ethical/environmental reasons in much the same way as I don't buy fur. I know it mightn't have occurred to you that some of your followers feel this way, so I just wanted to let you know as kindly and as gently as I could that maybe some faux leather (for your Guardian-reading, knit-your-own-yoghurt types like me 😂) or high street dupe mentions (for all of us, I imagine) would be really helpful! Also, any styling tips you can offer would be gratefully received - we might not all be in the market for Margiela blazers, but tips on how to wear ones we currently have in a bit more of a clean and modern way would be amazing, for example ♥️
