Hey everybody! I added more info to the description, so be sure to check that out for the book links I mentioned, and the adjustments that I've decided I will do to these pants. I will show the pattern pieces in the next video so you can see what I did. Thank you all for watching! Hope it's helpful! Blessings

What do you use for sheets?
@brittanyjjonestv5 жыл бұрын
Lol. I use the fitted sheet and a comforter. I don’t like the loose flat sheets.

You are such a great help, Brittany. Thanks for showing us the process. I know I sound like a broken record, but I’m so grateful for your instruction and I love recommending your channel to inquiries from beginning sewers.👍

This was soooooo helpful. I love seeing the whole process. This really shows the trial and error of sewing, which inspires me and gives me hope. A lot of time you just see KZbinrs sewing and then modeling the outfit. You have truly given us a behind-the-scenes look at the process from start to finish. I love your new format of doing sew alongs. When I got the first video at the beginning of the week, I could hardly wait for Friday to come around. I find myself waiting with anticipation to the watch the next step in the process..

Brittany great video! I love following along on your channel you are so excited about sewing and bring such a great empowering spirit to the community! BTW welcome to California. I "watched" your move out west and had hoped you were coming a little farther north - I'm in north SF Bay area. Enjoy the beautiful summer you are about to experience in SD!

Thank you! Seeing the actual muslin on while you show and talk about the fitting issues was on point. I'm a visual person(especially when it comesl to sewing) so this helped me out a lot. Please continue to point out/reference any info/illustration from any of the books u use. Looking forward to the next video.

Omg Brittany I hope you do more if these because I have so many problems with fitting. I need to sometimes see things in real time to get a total understanding. It's so helpful to see someone work out fit issues. I would also love if you could show more of the prep process like bust adjustments and fitting in general. I know it's a process but I'm just having a hard time with so many fails. Thanks so much for sharing and teaching!

Out of the three books which one would you over all recommend. I can only buy one at a time so I'd like to get the one with the most information first. Thank you so much for recommending them, I've never had a book but have sewn for 48 years being self taught after my papaw let me make Barbie doll clothes on my mamaws sewing machine. Lol. I learn something new everyday through KZbin videos tho. It's opened up a whole new world for me! 😊 Blessings to you and your family

Maybe if you go to your public library maybe they would have them. Then you could see which one you like. The Fit for Real People is a palmer and pletsch book and if you look them up in youtube you can see some of their fitting techniques.

Oh wow! 48 years self-taught! I’m sure I could learn a lot from you❤️ Out of the three, I’d Perfect Fitting for the most information. I do agree with Lorraine that a lot of Pati Palmer teaching from her book is available here on KZbin.

@@brittanyjjonestv I'd say we could have some good conversations. Lol. I used to make about everything I wore for church and alot of school uniforms and prom dresses so I learned a lot the hard way, I look back and think I didn't have a clue as what I was doing when I see all this different stuff on KZbin. Lol. Thank you so much, I don't go out except once every three months to the Dr so since I have been introduced to KZbin by my sister it's been an experience having information about anything at your finger tips. I'm still new to this but I will definitely try to find the channel. Thank you so much. I really do learn from you and enjoy your channel. Blessings to you and yours

What size flat sheets are best for muslin?
@brittanyjjonestv5 жыл бұрын
Umm, I guess any size would work. I use twins from my children sheet sets and queen from mine. You can use whichever size you have available.
@Oceanpurples5 жыл бұрын
Ok you sewing the 3/8 is that how it measured out to 51 and a half I'm kind of lost right there since you had already cut the pattern out a little smaller than that. I know you said get the book Brittany trust me girl imma get it because I was a little lost on that one
@brittanyjjonestv5 жыл бұрын
Infinite Chambers hey sorry for the confusion. So what I’m going to do is add some tissue paper behind my pattern to increase it. I will measure the distance between all of the sizes on the pattern (at all sides- side seam, inseam, hem, crotch) and use that distance to add for the additional size. So if it’s 5/8 between the 18-20-22 on the side seams, I will add 5/8 to the side seam to increase the pattern to a 24. I will do that for all seams. Working in small sections though, because it may not be 5/8 down the entire side seam. I will alter my pattern and show/explain what I did in the next video. I hope that explanation helped you though.❤️
