Oh my gosh my aunt dyed her hair this bright Kool-aid red bc of Rihanna. It was severely damaged for such a long time but she loved to talk about her Rihanna red 💀. Tbh it kinda pissed me off when Rihanna went with the red hair because #1 I wore the red hair first (that specific look btw, long wavy, dark Ariel red hair from "Man Down") and I LOVED it... but switched to black hair a year or two before she went red. And #2 people would tell me I looked like Rihanna except my skin tone is much lighter (no exaggeration, and no I never thought I looked like her but I live in NY and people would tell me this ALL the time) so when she went with the red hair I was like "damn, now I gotta wait until she stops wearing it" because I DIDN'T want people saying "why you trying to copy Rihanna" so I stayed with the black hair for awhile longer, but I really missed the red hair and I low key felt like I couldn't wear it because of Rihanna lol. I don't think I ever shared that story before but true shit. And it's no shade because of course I love her, who doesn't love Rihanna I mean come on she's a damn icon. But that red hair phase annoyed tf outta me. 😂
