Britt, so glad you got to see this performance, wasn’t it beautiful? I believe this was a birthday celebration concert for Igor. Aida was the first female singer with the magenta lipstick, Lara was obviously the 2nd and Dimash’s idol since childhood, so kind of special for him personally. Kind of amazing how well blended their vocals were. Dimash worked hard to purposely adjust his vibrato to match whomever of the women he was singing with so they would sound as one, just stunning. This was the 65th Birthday celebration concert in Russia of famous Russian composer/music mogul (worth 13 billion USD), Igor Krutoy (on piano). The whole concert consisted of his compositions and all the artists he had worked with over the years, who sang his songs. Dimash sings many of Igor’s songs made famous by Lara Fabian. They are all brilliant! Igor only seems to compose new songs for Dimash now, having come out of retirement to work with him when he first heard Dimash sing in 2018. Dimash performed 5 times in this concert.

There is a Russian talk show that interviews Krutoy, Dimash & all the very jealous Russian artists who have worked w/ Krutoy & Krutoy's Mother - according to Krutoy his Mother actually discovered Dimash from the Chinese Song Competition the Singer..... It's a Great piece of content b/c even W/o subtitles you can read the body language - it's hysterical.... Dimash as always is humble & deferential to a fault & that is why he is so loved globally

Funny story. In an interview, Lara said during rehearsal for this, Aida cocked her head at Dimash and said ... Hey if I have to run out for something, he can sing my part ....then burst out laughing ! They all came unglued and couldn't pull it together ! They'd straighten up, start, one would gaze at the other and fall over in hysterics ! The third time, Igor wiping his eyes after Aida choked her note out through her nose, put his head down on the piano and waving his arms yelled Lunch ! They chorused OK !! Leaving, she looked down at her watch. It was 9 30 in the morning. Hee ! 🤣

Aida is a famous russian opera singer, lyric soprano and soloist of the Vienna State Opera, who has performed duets with Placido Domingo and Anrea Bocelli. This is always spectacular to watch. Dimash’s expression when he gazes tenderly at Lara is beautiful (she is still stunning even in her 50s!). Lara was apparently very sick while performing in this concert and was wrapped in a warm coat to help her power through. With the calibre of this performance, I can only imagine how great it would have been had Lara not been sick?! One of my favourite Dimash with ensemble. Stylistically very different there is Dimash with Super Vocal Boys singing a Queen Medley. Super harmonies! Cheers from Canada!

Hi from Brazil. :) Let me tell you that Lara was sick that week, the night before she told to Igor (The Master and her friend since 2005) that she would probably have to take a shot of morphine to get heal faster from pain and a strong sore troat. Dimash was present in that moment she told Igor, there's a vídeo of it... Then, Lara really took a shot of morphine minutes before that performance, she also performed more 4 songs at that concert, even though she was feeling very sick. Thank you for another reaction. 😊 Hugs.

Good reaction. I believe there is a story going around that in rehearsal Aida had to leave early for a commitment and telling Dimash you don't need me, you can sing my part, smiling walking away. This event was Igor's 65th birthday and the three all know him over the years. They came together to celebrate him. Of note Lara was recovering from the flu and still pulled it off. Such class acts that the West for the most part are not aware of. Love you! Aida was in the all white dress and Lara sang last. If you ever do Lara, review Malade and JeTaime, both are so emotional.

Aida Garifullina has a beautiful soprano voice and is a great opera singer. And even that isn't enough, she's so beautiful. And then comes Dimash, most angelic and male voice who can range all notes and he has this charisma that no one can resist. Aida is the Soprano for the Vienna Opera House, Lara is Dimash’s idol, he loves her and has covered some of her songs. Adagio is from Lara. Igor is obviously in heaven. One vocal coach who is an opera singer noticed that Dimash changes his vibrato to match Aida, and then changed it to match Lara’s vibrato. He’s amazing.

Great review - this entire concert is Amazing & there is video behind the scenes filmed by an employee of the concert venue - it's Remarkable b/c you see Krutoy, Bocelli, Aida Garafolina, Dimash & Lara Fabian rehearsing & conversing in reg street clothes. it's the 1st time Dimash meets Lara & it's caught on video & of course humble Dimash walks over & talks to the employee the same way he treats the Stars - remarkable young man.....

During a practice time, Lara Fabian had to leave a bit early, and she joked that Dimash could just sing her part. Funny because it's so true! There is another song in this event you might want to see. There is a song called Passione, that Dimash sings in Italian, that he sung twice. One version focused on him, while the other version is in this event and focused mainly on the skating performers. Both are good in their own ways.

Lara was very ill that night and was on every med her Dr. could find to get her through it. Did you notice how Dimash hovered over Lara like a hawk? Before covd, Maestro Krutoy (the pianist) threw huge, extravagant birthday parties for himself. This was one of those events. He is worth over 13 billion and has aided greatly in the careers of all three of the singers.

Let me give you some info on this incredible trio and event: • Igor is there as an overall lead because the event is built for him: this is his birthday event that he organized with all his favorite artists, the ones that he is used to collaborate with and the songs he has composed • This is not the first time that Lara sings this song (composed by Igor) in trio but the third time: she performed in the original version with Dmitri Hvorostovsky and Alina Yaroyava then again later with Dmitriy and Sumi Jo, before this new trio with Dimash and Aida. The song was composed from day one with her voice in mind. She has been collaborating with Igor for more than 10 years and he has told from her that she is “the best singer and the best songwriter he has ever worked with” • This also explains why the song does not exposes more of Dimash’s upper register: it was written for the late Dmitri who was a pure baryton. • Lara was very very sick that day, with fever and strong medication but she is skilled enough to have made it unnoticeable • Also, like Dimash, and even if the song was composed that way with her in mind, Lara does not sing in her real « comfort zone »: she is, as Aida, a lyrical soprano but here she plays the role in the trio of a mezzo-soprano and takes the median register. It requires a lot of voice control to not interfere with Aida’s high note and does not allow her to really shine. She gives room to Aida to do it instead and Aida uses this magnificently. • It was the first time Dimash met his idol Lara (he is a fan since he is a child and he covered several of her songs): look how quickly he turned to her, despite he has not finished his duo section with Aida 😂 And how he looks at her and hold her after it … • Lara is the most comfortable in italian because it is her first native language even before french: her mother is italian and while born in Belgium she spent her first 5 years in sicilia before returning there. She also is married to a sicilian man • Look how dimash slightly adapted his vibrato to better match Aida or Lara • Also there is a debate about the final note, held for such a long time, with the conductor looking at Igor and Igor smiling: Did they make a prank to the singers by extending this last note? Or did the singers instead played with them? I personnally think this is more option 1 😀 • I forgot to add that Lara has been classically trained for more than 10 years at Brussels Royal Conservatory and still continues to receive voice lessons on a daily basis. And she has sung many times opera pieces or with opera singers. • Final note to say that Lara Fabian wrote the song Your Love for Dimash

Lara is Dimash's muse! Lara has an outstanding voice and lots of content on YT. Lara also sings in multiple languages perfectly. Her native languages are French and Italian. She often mentioned in the same breath as Celina, Mariah & Whitney. I know you are aware of AJ and Mori; you will certainly enjoy Lara. I love her own song Broken Vow which was covered by Josh Groban. Checkout her Je T'aime in the 2001 Lara with love concert (you may want to have a tissue handy) for Lara this performance brought her out of a dark place in her life because of 6000+ fans in attendance. Aida Garifullina was the operatic female singer -- the first one to sing. Lara Fabian is a Canada-Belgium singer/composer. She has been an inspiration for Dimash. Dimash have a number of Duet with her... and also sing a number of her composition. Lara have fan pretty much everywhere around the world but was prevented to enter the US Market because of some contract issue with her disk company. Lara started her career in Montreal, Canada, the same as Celine Dion. This has created some tensions for her. In the USA, you know some of Lara composition like "Broken vows" sing by Josh Groban, another singer that consider her to be an inspiration. Just a note, the bald headed man on the piano, is a Multimillionaire manager in Russia, he helps Dimash and Diana Ankudinova too, when she won the Russia voice he was a judge, watch her sing Wicked Game, hes a judge. But she won a scholarship to college and he provided her with an apartment.
