Redban was making a joke about Ari Shaffir, because Ari's voice kind of sounds like Brian the dog from Family Guy, and there might be some other resemblances as well but I'll leave that up the imagination lol. Anyway it's not the worst joke in the world, but that's a stupid place to say it because Ari isn't there and it will lose the audience (like how it completely distracted you from the show lol) So that's why Tony told him to shut up lol. And no Ari isn't the voice of Brian :) PS - It's fun to rag on Redban for being an idiot, but this show would never exist without him. He does a TON of work behind the scenes. And in person he's one of the nicest people in the world

You must react to a whole episode,David was a regular with hans and William and then there are a couple of hundred people who signed upp for a minute on the stage,then there is and interview afterwards. kill means in the comedy world that you did good,if you did bad you bomb. The episodes are about 2 hours so you might want to do them in parts. Look for the one with Post Malone, Joe Rogan and Kurt Meztger as guest,i loved that episode and i think you will to.. FYI Redban is who Joe Rogan started his podcast with. Redban was very into the camera work and helped Joe get started doing the video podcasts when they were in their infancy. It's also the reason why there is video of Joe going after Carlos Mancia for stealing jokes. If not for Redban there might not be a Joe Rogan Experience Podcast.

Kill Tony is a show where anyone can sign up and come on stage and do 1 min of comedy. Then the panel usually roasts the person. If the panel likes the person, they were funny or interesting, then the panel is nice to them usually. David Lucas, the big black comedian, is a "regular". He works for the show and comes on all the time. He doesn't sign up and get picked. He is the only one that does roasting towards the panel on the show and that is what he is most known for. david does gay jokes towards Tony and Tony does black or fat jokes towards David. David also roasts the shows guests (Shane Ghillis in this case) usually. The fat white guy on the panel that doesn't talk much is Redban. He is a comedian but he was hired to do production (soundboard, time the sets, etc). He says stuff sometimes but he usually sucks lol. So he gets shutdown a lot. Cody, the little person, actually is the manager of a strip club lol. They sponsor the show so he is always there.

Kill Tony is great. Yes, everyone gets one minutes to show what they have. Anyone can sign up so it’s mainly aspiring comedians trying to get better. David Lucas started out by signing up and eventually became a regular. The contestants can be hit and miss but if they bomb on stage Tony and the rest just rip them to shreds in the interview process.

Re: Tony shutting down Redban. The podcast invites a number of people to do a minute of standup, and literally anyone can sign up. It's a chaotic show where sometimes people come out and do a funny minute of standup, but often times people come out and give a mid or terrible performance. Afterward Tony and the panel at the table interview the guest for 5-15 minutes and they HAVE to create funny moments or else the podcast would suck. Redban started as a standup comedian, but has also been producing podcasts for ~20 years and is one of the reasons comedy podcasts are so popular today. He's a highly respectable guy and can do funny stuff, but he's not nearly as sharp as the other dyed in the wool comedians on the panel. So he often makes not funny jokes in the section of the show where the comedy HAS to be high octane or the show doesn't work. It's also become a bit of a trope that Redban is the punching bag of the show and he's a good sport about it, probably because he's a multi-millionaire off of his producer credits.

For context Brian Redban was the producer for the Joe Rogan Experience, and is the producer of the Kill Tony show. Two of the biggest podcasts that exist right now. Podcasts would never have made it into arenas or it would have happened much later if it weren't for Brian Redban. He's also probably rich as fuck but you wouldn't know it bc he doesn't care.

To fully understand you just got to go down the kill Tony rabbit hole there's some great great moments lol live every Monday on KZbin, David Lucas roasts are legendary and shane always kills on there but yeah David is a regular there also in the kill Tony Hall of Fame.. there once was a man who performed on kill Tony who later it was arrested for murder a wild serial killer type of murder but yeah many Great moments, a handful of comedians have been regulars on the show and now they are legit selling out theaters and opening for the biggest comedians there was even a comedian who was discovered on this show who later went on AGT and made it all the way to the end (but i cant stand hans Kim lol) everybody gets a minute there's a couple people that are regulars but other than that he pulls out random names that signed up to do a min of comedy out of a bucket and then after they do the minute he interviews them the live podcast has been going on for over 10 years
