I just watched your reaction to Randy's song and your reaction was priceless....hearing your sisters story I understand how this song hits home for you ...losing someone at that young age is very hard but having her story be told to help keep others safe had to help...I was 14 when my little brother passed from a brain tumor and strong family and faith got us through...may God Bless you every day ...thanks for sharing your time with us...Karl from eastern Canada🙏🙏🙏

God Bless You! Randy Travis was the most amazing voice and story teller that I had encountered in country music (I was busy with Rock lol). Forever And Ever Amen is a perfect love song. When I heard Three Wooden Crosses I understood exactly why God granted us the spirit and the voice that is Randy Travis.

Bless you and your message of kindness to others...I had the awesome pleasure to hear this song live by Randy himself at a concert in the early 2000's when concert tickets were affordable and he touched the whole audience to the core...so sorry to here of your loss...keep on keeping it real and honest ....Karl from eastern Canada❤❤❤❤

God bless you - cute sneeze. One of the things I love about country is the amount of respect newer stars have for those that came before them. He's got a great voice for this song, not like Randy's, but still amazing. Josh's voice is so thick, it can absorb other voices, and it's almost like an effect. In addition to leaving a legacy, this is a song about redemption. How many people looked at that hooker as trash? But everyone has the power to leave an important, good mark on the world. God can use all things to his purposes.

God Bless Your sneeze and your heart ❤! Always love your reactions, and the one you did to Randy’s original version may be my favorite. The theme that always hits me hardest with this song is the idea that the Farmer and the Teacher, and that Preacher had already secured the legacies they left behind prior to the accident that claimed their lives, but the Hooker at that point in time had only lived for herself and had left much of anything behind her in terms of legacy. So God granted her the opportunity to do just that, because he is the all seeing, all understanding God of mercy.

Thank you for the reminders to be kind, we all need that sometimes.. I ran into an old friend in October, she had ALWAYS belittle me, and I decided years ago that she wasn’t good for my self-esteem or my peace of mind.. but for some reason after 35 years of this person just downright always being mean and insulting to me, this day back in October when I seen her I could tell she was stressed out, so I stopped this ungodly mean person called her name and gave her a hug, I found out later that she had terminal cancer, she didn’t know that yet she just knew she wasn’t feeling right. She passed away about a week and a half ago.

You watched Vince Gill and Patty Loveless do "Go Rest High on that Mountain" at George JOnes funeral when Vince broke down and came back. You should watch the attached video where he and Patty get thru the song as it was meant to be. It's live from the Grande Ole Opry. Vince and Patty were the main guests that week. Vince explains his motivation in writing the song (which we know you love)! It's their last song on the show after doing 3 others earlier. It's one of the best episodes of the opry I've seen. People really appreciate Vince and Patty together and they were primed to hear "Go Rest". You also see the deep and playful friendship Vince and Patty have. They are platonic BFFs. They say brother and sister. Also, the host is Porter Waggoner who discovered Dolly and gave her her first contract. He also met Patty when she was 14 and mentored her as did Dolly. Anyway, it's playful after the final song so watch till the end. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pZPKgKdpma5lo8U

God loves you! John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

I just went to watch your first time reaction to the original. Now I have a question... Have you been to The Grand Ole Oprey since learning about it? I've been there, and it's quite the show, always with a different lineup of entertainment. If you haven't been there yet, and are planning to go, I recommend getting your tickets directly from them vs a ticket agent so you can request front row center, which agents have no access to. It's a blast. I also have a suggestion for you, because you love stories: Riding With Private Malone by David Ball. I think you'll enjoy it.

The instrument being played in the background is a mandolin. In you earlier education to Country Music, you sometimes confused the mandolin and the banjo. Both are high pitched stringed instruments used in Country Music and Blue Grass.
