We would like to acknowledge the recommendations from many of you that we have two high quality headphones while reacting. We hear you (pun intended)! We have worked on improving our reactions week-in and week-out. Our channel was essentially only 2.5 months old when this was recorded so please try to keep that in mind! We chose to begin our journey using our this setup for a variety of reasons (recording setup (hardware/software), latency issues, communication during videos, cost of upgrades in software/hardware, etc) but rest assured we will look to continue improving our (and your) experience by making adjustments and listening to the community in an ongoing manner!

I loved the look on Sam's face when she realized it was the hooker that survived. Most reactors don't ever catch that it was the hooker that survived and had a son who grew up to be a preacher. This was her legacy.

When Randy Travis debuted we were in the height of the country rock phase and he gave us a taste of the classic country vocalists from decades past. Very refreshing.

Took me a minute to comment as I'm currently wiping my tears. I cry every time I hear this song. ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. "Forever and Ever, Amen" is a great song. Randy was ridiculously popular back in the day (I sure loved him) and "Forever and Ever, Amen" was probably played at every wedding in the 1980s.

I was in Nashville and went out with my mom and dad to a large country bar. My dad introduced me to Randy Travis. I had no clue how famous he was lol. He asked me to dance and of course I said yes. Later that night he took the stage and started singing. It floored me and I thought dang I just danced with someone famous and had no clue.

My favorite Randy Travis songs are Reasons I Cheat; Promises; Take Another Swing At Me; This is Me; Look Heart, No Hands; Spirit of a Boy, Wisdom of a Man; That’s Where I Draw the Line; I Told You So; The Box; He Walked On Water; Three Wooden Crosses; Hard Rock Bottom of Your Heart; It’s Just a Matter of Time; On the Other Hand; and Forever and Ever Amen.

I am lucky enough to communicate with Mr. Travis. We message back n forth once every couple of months. Since his second stroke, he has been limited in public appearances. He is going out on tour with a group of Musicians playing his music. There is a video out entitled Precious Memories where Randy tells stories about the songs that made the Album Worship & Faith. He hadn't had a hit song in almost 6 yrs when Kim Williams brought him the song. It'd the first Gospel song ever to hit at #1 on the country charts. 1 thing I take away from the conversations I have with him is that he appreciates everyone who's a fan and is humbled by the admiration. His Storms of Life Album came along at a time when I needed to lean on something to just wake up for another day living. Music with a heart is how he put it, lol. Love your reaction

Thank you for listening to the story well enough to understand it. So many reactors don't catch on to the "subtle" way he told the story. Randy is well known to throw a Gospel song on many of his albums. This song obviously has a hint Gospel behind it. Another story song that Randy did is He Walked On Water. Again, like this song, it's a Country song with a slice of Gospel, in the story.

If you like redemptive songs, I have a suggestion for you. The song is Bed of Roses by the Statler Brothers. This is a song that speaks of the meaning of love for those who nobody sees as a proper love interest. The messaging is as powerful in its own way as this one is. I also would recommend that you do Chapel Hart singing their original song, "You Can Have Him, Jolene." Yes, it is an update of the Dolly Parton song,"Jolene."

Randy Travis is one of the most successful country music artists of all time, and a magnificent story teller! More than even that, he is a fine Christian gentleman whose songs center on God, country, family, moral values, and generally just down-home wholesomeness which is sadly lacking in today's music industry (and society) as a whole. Please react to his "Forever & Ever, Amen" and "Deeper Than the Holler." Very fine reaction from you both!

For those who are not religious yet, if you suddenly die without Faith and repenting, your soul is lost. Those three were ready, they went to heaven. The preacher found the lost soul and gave her the MAP to Salvation (The Bible: God's Word), which was put to good use: Saved her and her son. Perhaps God gave her a chance, as He does for all of us, to save ourselves by finding and having Faith! Great song!...., Amen!

Surprisingly didn't see any comments mentioning that Randy unfortunately had a stroke maybe 6-8 years ago that caused him to have some brain damage which effected his motor skills. And the breathing tubes messed up his vocal chords. Sadly he can't really sing anymore. Though they did bring him on stage with a bunch of country artists at one of the award shows years ago. All of the artists sang his hit song "Forever and Ever, Amen", and they had him sing a line from it. Which was bittersweet, knowing his condition but happy he was alive and finally back on stage again being appreciated.

@@jimbennett8036 He was rap for many years. An independent artists. A lot of great rap songs, including a lot of collaborations with Struggle Jennings (Waylon Jennings' grandson). He only recently started singing, and then did some kind of deal and got into the country scene. I haven't been following him much since he transitioned to singing, so I had no clue he was featured on the awards show. But makes sense, if he signed a deal. I heard him vaguely talking about it on the first episode of Tracey Lawrence's podcast.

I just came across your channel this evening, and I like what I've seen so far. It appears that you are dipping your toes into the waters that is Country music. If I may make a suggestion, there are 3 Country songs that are amongst my favorites. Hank Williams, Jr.'s "A Country Boy Can Survive", Jordan Davis's "Buy Dirt" (ft. Luke Bryan), and Brad Paisley's "He Didn't Have To Be". One thing you should know about the first artist, is that he is the son of one of Country's biggest legends. And I can tell you both are both into fitness. But, how do you think you would fare if you fell 500 feet off a mountain? Hank Jr. did, and survived. He wears a beard now to hide the scars.

Three wooden crosses are symbolic of the three crosses at Calvary where Jesus was crucified. Along the rural roads in this country, sometimes you will see one cross on the side of a roadway indicating the location where someone died as the result of a car accident, but sometimes there are three.

The preacher gave the bible to the hooker before he died that is what he left behind, hooker survives, it wasn't he time to go, It had such an impact on her that she got her life . At the end the preacher(not the same one)is telling the story about the three wooden crosses, holds up the blood stained bible for all of them to see and said bless the Farmer, the teacher and the preacher who gave this bible to my Mama (the Hooker) who read it to me read to me. Not sure if the mother/Hooker is dead now(many years later) but she left the blood stained bible to her so(the preacher telling the story, not the one that died on the bus)
