Lol, sent this to my situationship! I love how damn respectful and honest he’s being about what he’s interested in. I think a lot more men would experience success in casual connections if they took this kind of approach! As a female listener, I never once felt dehumanized, reduced, disrespected, or misled by his message, and instead found this approach SO charming.

@@1998TDM it goes such a long way to be approached with honesty and respect! Many women are interested in easy, clean fun-but sadly we have to be careful to protect ourselves against fellas who might harm us, either physically or emotionally, who might not care about our pleasure in such an interaction, or who will say one thing while intending another. Men deal with this too, but the physical power differences between men and women often make it much more fraught for women. Honoring consent and choice (like Ren does here, both being honest about wanting a no strings attached situation, and affirming her right to decline), and making sure she gets hers too, goes SUCH a long way toward making it feel a lot safer for a woman to be able to accept such an invitation with a lot less self-protective mechanisms having to kick in. I’m so glad you learned how to come around to approaching people with both honesty and respect!
