Fort Scott, Kansas - City Tour & Drive Thru

Fort Scott is a city in and the county seat of Bourbon County, Kansas, United States.[1] As of the 2020 census, the population of the city was 7,552.[3][4] It is named for Gen. Winfield Scott.[5] The city is located 88 miles (142 km) south of Kansas City on the Marmaton River. It is the home of the Fort Scott National Historic Site and the Fort Scott National Cemetery.

The old part of town is nice. Old churches. Nice old homes. Gunn Park. You missed the best parts!

Yeah, the old part of Fort Scott is the best part. Beautiful historic churches, nice old farm houses, the Real School of Hard Knocks, and Gunn Park!! I lived in Fort Scott last year for 2 1/2 months, and I actually miss that little town. Nice people. Peaceful. A lot of hiking areas nearby.
