Did Christmas in October back when I was a Pipefitter apprentice...we went to a few houses in that area. People were very nice and appreciative we fixed up their HVAC systems.

I lived In" The town" for 40+ years and I lived in the " hood" I'm from the 30's. It's absolutely insane that people don't get people. Yeah I've traveled to almost every city you can imagine. Yet these you tube videos this dude acts like we are from the worst places on earth. I am a Native/white/ Puerto Rican woman. N I been to every corner store all over my city! In business suits nice car all that. KC is the town we love our city. These ppl need to stop being so damn condescending and judgemental. Like ANY OTHER CITY, TOWN MUNICIPALITY, B SMART n just be aware of your surroundings! N stop being so damn Scary!! I love the town! N I miss the town! I'm proud to b from KC ! And i must add this guy dounds like a condesending jerk! N go home dude! Our " hoods " have some of the most amazing helpful and kind peole uo

Kansas City isn’t really that bad. It’s just like any other city… stuff happens. 7:23

Man, my entire family is from the eastside. And these streets are dangerous if you are in them. If you're not in the streets, then you really won't feel unsafe here. You're not about to see people hanging on the streets during the day like other cities. But at night. These side streets do get dangerous.

those streets ain’t no joke at all. if you don’t have a reason to be there, don’t go.

I lived in that area for a couple of years with my now husband. There was a park off of 26th that we lived across from. This was in the mid 80s. The house was on one of those little steep inclines. It is gone now.

I was delivery driver for 20 years in that area. From Stateline to 435 Mo side and Rivermarket to 31st st. Seen some crazy sheet sometimes. But never felt unsafe, even though i found a dead guy in a parking lot, heard shots and looked out and seen aguy runnin and a dead guy in front of the apartments at 12th n hardesty. Lotsa police chases. Hmmm, now that i think about it????

The KC Star newspaper 📰 don't mention South Blue Valley This is new to me about Kansas City I always hear about Prospect Avenue . I'm originally from St Louis I don't live to far from the Kansas City area What are the ZIP codes in that area 🤔?

Yep... that is the hood in KC. You were there way too early, they sleep during the day....

I failed to see anything dangerous as your thumbnail suggested, just because an area is blighted or predominately a “brown or black area, doesn’t mean it’s dangerous, what you should know about statistics is that “they” include all of the crimes surrounding areas and since Kansas City is the market, KC gets a bad rap, now granted I don’t live in that part of town, I do live in KC, near Loch Lloyd where Patrick Mahomes of the KC Chiefs lives

Ive spent alot of time around 27th and Wayne, which is blocks from here. Bottom line is its as hood as anywhere, and you need to keep your head on a swiviel, but the people doing hood shit usually keep it to themselves. Mind your business and youll be fine.

Isn't it sad that in the 21st century we still have to talk about dangerous neighborhoods? That's what happens when you continue to push a victim narrative on certain groups and continue to elect Democrats.
