FX impact , I was dumb enough to buy a MK1 when it very first came out, it spent more time with Simon at asi ( former FX distributor) it was awful, every 100 shots a leak would start at the regulator adjustment screw behind the trigger, it would go to Simon, arrive back with me 2 weeks later , id take it on the range and it would spring a bloody leak from a total different area , I went through this for 5 months , they did a full service and seal replacement on the rifle and it was still a pile of crap , I had one of the very first FX MK2 verminators in .177 with the then brand new smooth twist barrel , FX had just purchased the design from its inventor ( the one and only Ben Taylor) The rifle was so inconsistent with its accuracy it was unusable, so I had to keep sending it back , in the end the smooth twist was replaced with a Walther barrel , and then it was a good little rifle , but fragile at the point where the buddy bottle screwed into the action, I love the look of FX rifles but as a man who's owned 3 mk 2 verminators, 1 mk 1 impact and a cyclone , I can say that FX rifles like the cyclone are so much better than anything from the 2011 and onwards time line, FX used to make solid rifles for logun ,rws, Webley and later FX themselves , once they moved away from that and started using the smooth twist barrel and new tactical designs the whole range of their rifles ( for the most part ) are way to fragile and brittle , to me they really are not worth the money or hype , they could be , but awful QC at the factory , plus pushing out new models out to market without the proper amount of time spent in r&d and field testing , they are taking advantage of the customers goodwill, selling a 1500 gun that can't even group at 40 yds is disgraceful, it seems like the .22 and above that are at fac levels are all they are interested in , the UK market seems to be an afterthought.

You are not the first one to mention this problem. It's been my luck to buy PCP's in the $500 range and have had nothing but success.

Bought a Ghost Plus from Range & Country just before Christmas - all I can say is what a fabulous piece of kit. Great shop, great staff as well. Rifle is still bedding in but god it's accurate & not pellet fussy either - QYS, H&N Barracuda FT or Die 54 JSB's all get more or less the same results. I've added a PRS Rail, Bag Rider & A&M Twink - just finishes off the rifle nicely.

An update on mine am not too happy with the quality of the plastic grip and shoulder stock it had unfinished edges and moulding marks so come on BRK quality control please or better still better quality plastics. Am only being honest giving my findings

You say about the connecting mags . I have the ghost in.22 .it's OK on a bench at the range .they don't connect that strong as to go out pest controlling and loose an £80 mag .brilliant gun though .

Maybe a bit late to the party, but can the check riser be turned around for us left handers , and if I buy the plus in .22 FAC can you use the hammer spring kit to say , drop down to around the sub 12 range and like wise if I put a HP spring in will that increase the power past the normal FAC . Hi, thanks for getting in touch. The cheek riser can indeed be turned around for a left hand shooter. With regards to the power questions you'd need to do more than just change the hammer spring, the valve and regulator are likely to be different. Hope this helps
