I came across the Napier cleaning kit many years ago and i have not used anything else since. It is a fantastic kit for my BSA R10 se .177 (2 patches) and included everything needed for air gun maintenance. One thing Peter didn't mention is that the cleaning patches have a slightly abrasive side and a smooth side. I use the abrasive side for the first pull to remove any fouling, then i reverse the patches so the inside "clean" patch is the one to contact the barrel for the next pull, making them last twice as long.( Tight wad i hear you say)...pun intended! I actually did have the loop at the end of the pull through break with me one time and contacted Napier and they sent me another pull through FOC immediately. How's that for customer service, great company.

Been an ex military guy i am one of those who keeps his rifle clean. Just a small thing even if it's a break barrel if it's got a rifled barrel don't put the rod or the bronze anywhere near it. Only use a pull through for cleaning your barrel. One further point is if you are going to use those felt pellets always remember to remove your moderator or air stripper before using them as they will get caught up inside your moderator or air stripper. Happy Shooting everyone.

Hi Peter, one cleaning kit I've just got myself is the Patchworm, they do various cleaning kits and accessories on their website, and are way better than the Napier and probably half the price. We need some more UK shops to stock their kit please, they are amazing. Plus Ballistol oil is also awesome, it is a multi purpose oil, used on metal, wood, is food safe, it cleans and lubricates, and doesn't go hard or gummy over time. Thanks for the brilliant videos and information, keep them coming. Cheers

Really appreciate the time you take to explain. Very well presented; and no music.

Little money saving tip, I use Napier cleaning kit and love it on my .177 but I use one patch and fold it twice. feels ike really good friction and really gets the lead out. Love the vids. Please keep them going. Would like to see a Red Wolf up against a Alpha Wolf shoot out. (.177 of course). Only because I cant choose between the two.

Great video thank you - Would you consider doing a video on PCP filling probe maintenance please? How the probes work - What to look for on the seals when they perish? Should the seals be oiled/silicone oil? What do you recommend? Thanks.

Hi Peter; very good demo. One point; do you think the felt cleaning pellets would supply enough resistance in a springer to prevent piston slam?
@rangecountryairguns5883 Жыл бұрын
In the case of using a springer I'd say the easiest way to make sure that doesn't happen would be to put a normal pellet behind the cleaning wad
