Bro I love Hex Casting so much.

IT'S SO COOL. PLEASE, GET IT. It's worth figuring out, really. I created a Trinket that has a Hex where I just right click on an enemy and boom, they and those around them are dead. I feel like such a mage every time I do even the simplest of spells.

I've made a spell that drops a level one explosion on every monster in casting range, a friend on the server was very confused when we were in a dungeon and everything exploded

I really love this mod, I just wish it had a few more of actual "effect" spells, cause some things are just impossible to do, like freezing water. But it's not a major issue

I made a similar spell, but a bit more complex... it has 6 steps - it picks the entity leg location and multiply by 5 (5/5 copies of the monster leg coord) - uses the first entity location to destroy a block at the entity's feat (thing like grass/rails/etc can mess the rest of the spell) 4/5 coord copies left - it then adds water on said location (it could fail if you didn't remove the block before... ) 3/5 coord copies left - then it explodes! 2/5 copies left... - it then puts a magic block in the location, to remove the water ... 1/5 copies - and finally, it breaks the magic block! 0/5 copies... in practice, it'll explode without damaging the environment... I made it at explosion level 5... very useful for killing anything really... it's point-blank too, so it's way stronger than bedding the dragon... also, a little secret for you: there are 'zone' spells on the entities tab, they can select every entity of a given type in a radius around you ( up to 32 blocks, would recommend 20)... you can mix that with the wither effect... if you give wither level 0, it costs 0 no matter what... so I made a trinket that casts wither for 100 secs on every hostile in a 20 block radius :) the level 0 is also stronger than any other level, it bugs out and works as if it was a level 25 wither effect...

It's like one of the most fun mods Btw I think it would cheaper to create one Trinket and a few Focuses (or a spellbook) instead, saving on charged amethysts

I love this mod because you can make an artifact, that uses a focus to crate a new artifact. Or straight up run a spell from your offhand item. Or turn an abacus into a dial for controlling your spell.

The explosion spell you made works, but you've centered the explosion around the head of the entity you're targeting, which works fine for mobs, but if you intend to use it for PvP, make sure to use Compass' purification II instead, which will center the explosion at the feet of the mob instead of the head. Very fun mod, I agree; and good job !

Throughout the entire video, I thought that while you were casting the spell, the amethysts despawned. For this reason, I usually draw the pattern first and then enchant it. P.s In order to see how to draw symbols correctly, you can hold down ctrl when viewing a symbol in a book. In order to show the sequence on the scroll, simply poke the scroll with amethyst dust
