what if i told you that the best self help book won't be found in the self help section. well i would be telling you the truth bro. as a matter of fact, the best self help book ever written is actually this little novel written in 1863 by a dude called Dostoyevksy.

I couldn’t agree with this more. A few years ago I fell into the trap of only consuming self help books. Eventually as I matured I realized most of them were saying the same thing just in a different way. Plus after reading only self help my life didn’t actually improve as much as I thought it would. It was definitely helpful in the beginning but not much after. There’s just something about fiction that captivated me even more. If you read a good novel that’s filled with themes of the human condition, the impact will be greater and you’ll remember it’s depth way longer than a self help book. The characters in fiction often translate to people you know in your own life and the way the protagonists handle/overcome their own battles is relatable to whatever you may be going through at the time. The hobbit taught me so much when I first read it in highschool. And now as an adult I plan to read it again with a fresh set of eyes and more wisdom gained over the years. There is so much magic waiting for us to indulge in, embedded in these novels. There’s so much literature to discover, and I’m excited to go deeper. Great video brother! Keep it up. 🎩🎞️
