Journey was formed by very talented musicians. NEIL SCHON LEAD GUITAR, WAS TRAINED BY the one and only Santana. The music they were doing was good, but they needed a lead singer. They were told in fresno Ca. About a young man who had a good very voice that was not to ever be bettered. He was already that good. Thus, welcome to Journey.

Hi George & Patrick! It's Jen! It took Patrick 2 lines to say "what a voice". 💯 Steve's nickname is "The Voice". Well done! You just hit one of my favorite bands EVER & a huge rabbit 🕳 hole. Now that you've heard Steve Perry's voice there's no turning back. Hearing him LIVE will blow you away. I could write all this, as always, but this one quote is better: "Steve Perry has the 4 octave range of a high tenor and solid alto and is considered a countertenor. He is a rare tenor altino, a rare form of countertenor, a voice that many consider incomparable. His voice is very recognizable and longtime friend of Perry's, Jon Bon Jovi, gave him the nickname, "The Voice." My favorites & ALL huge hits: Don't Stop Believin Lovin, Touchin, Squeezin Separate Ways Still They Ride Girl Can't Help It Open Arms Send Her My Love Anyways You Want It Who's Crying Now I'll Be Alright Without You

George & Patrick, I have to admit I was SHOCKED when you said you had never heard Journey music before. They were (and always will be) a MONUMENTALLY HUUUUGE PART of rock and roll 70’s80’s 90’s music WORLDWIDE in their popularity and quality. They really have a lot of SUPER GOOD songs that people across allllll walks of life ADORE. Even rap artists can’t help but falling in love with their music when they hear them. I truly hope for your sake you explore them in a big way because you will be HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED if you ever realize what you missed. Julie in Texas

I grew up with this band. The first record was with another singer and a little more rocky. Then they added Steve Parry to the band so they had two great singers. The first singer left the band and Steve Parry was the lead for years. One of my fav bands in the 70s, 80s. Steve Perry had and has a great voice. Neal the 6 string player is a so good. Sometimes on some songs he blows me away with his style. Like I said i grew up in the 70s and 80 rock bands so i am bias but that was a great time for music and maybe the best years IMHO. Artist, writers and the such was so good.
