How do they have children, these women need to travel to another part of Kenya where men treat them well. Not all Kenya is bad, I've been to the big city part of Kenya and it reminded me of NYC, everyone was kind especially towards foreigners. I've dated 4 Kenyan women while there and one of them asked me to meet her parents but the trip was cut short due to something drastic that happened in the city but that rarely happens. We still keep in touch and I was so amazed by all the happy black couples holding hands, lathing and smiling more than you see with any race in the us, I mean in the us it's very rare to see couples holding hands like that. I think the media mostly only show one side of Kenya. Mainly the worst side but never the good side. Yes bad things has happened in Kenya and some of the laws need to be changed but bad things if not worst happen hear in the us especially in Chicago and LA and nothing is being aired and said about it by other Nations. I believe these women need to speak up to all the worlds leaders and not just Kenya Leaders and don't think that all men treat women wrongly. They need to venture out, a lot of tribes in Kenya on the other end of the country never venture out due to their beliefs, the leaders like to stay clear of the tribal beliefs, I guess to keep the original indigenous cultural traditions going strong in their country. But I love Kenya and it's food is soo spicy, I can't believe they could serve something so spicy. The law doesn't like to get involved with African tribes because they fear it would interfere with the indigenous people's of the land's culture, each tribe has a different belief system and culture. It's up to the tribes members themselves which includes some of the men and women to speak on such issues to the united natio... These women have talked about the bad experiences they've went through and that's a start but we other people across the globe also need to speak on such issues. I said before when things like this happen the women need to travel else where like the city part of Kenya where they're more stricture laws. The city of Kenya already has a place that women could stay if they've been abused or need to find work and they give them free clothes, free food and free medical. I'm not saying they should give up their culture entirely but If I personalty lived in a bad neighborhood I would go else where even if it takes me to live in a homeless shelter for the time being. It truly hurts me that these women had to go though this. I've traveled to the city part of Kenya and it was way way different, All the women there where very happy and smiling.

Ew, could you imagine a men's only village where they have a school? The girl's would either be brainwashed into servitude or they would be molested. If you google images "school boy" you will see normal photos. Do an image search for "school girl" and see things are quite different. But we already know what happens in male exclusive spaces and cultures where women are pushed out of spaces. Women are kept under-educated and servile.

@@WeeHgt yeah, it's sickening how *those types of people* fetishize school girls. Have you read how *some* incels think that women are best in their teens. And that 30 year old women are old and used up. That's another thing, this fetishization of virginity. *Those certain individuals* take it way too far. *People of this mindset* think 13 year olds have sex and are therefore used up, so now they want to have sex with 12 year olds. 🤮🤢🤮🤢

@@mayam.235 Yes I am very familiar. Too many men believe that if a girl is able to have babies then they are fair game. And with the hormones in food, etc, children are entering puberty younger. However the chance of birth complications or death are higher for younger females. Puberty is a phase, not a single event. In the animal breeding world (dogs, horses, etc) good breeders understand this, and good breeders make sure that females go through heat a number of times before breeding. But human men, despite being of an intelligent species, want to do many backwards things if it pleases their peen.

Well if you look at history. That is true. Women of conquered peoples even up to world war 2 were raped by the victorious armies while they pillaged cities. Berlin and Nanjing for example. The farther back you go the more common it was. This stems way father then history books go. It’s just instinctual. If you look at the us propaganda poster against Germany for the “rape of Belgium” during ww1 it shows a monkey holding a dead woman. For millennia boys and men have fought to protect their wives and daughters. Unfortunately deep patriarchal societies stemmed from male leaders wanting more power and influence. IMPORTANT CLARIFICATION At 17:54 when they ask andrew what life is like living in an all women village, he does NOT say "things are difficult". "Lazima kila kitu iwe sawa" is a phrase, translated to english its "things have to be good" . Lazima can mean have/must. That entire conversation with him was edited in a deceiving way, any native swahili speaker would tell you Andrew is actually happy about the village and understands why the other men will not accept it. Whoever edited & translated should be slapped for that.

John Lydon It mentioned in the video that they sold jewelry to raise money for their village. Also, if the men in their culture made sooo much more money than them, why are they breaking into the women's village and stealing their money? Why do they feel so threatened and emasuclated by the fact that the women are making some money to the side? In any case I would rather live in an all women village and be poor and have to build my own house and bring my own water than live on a man village where I am beaten, raped, and flat out discouraged from making my own money, even if it is only a few bucks.

@Alpha-wz2qu7 жыл бұрын
These people aren't living in mud huts, which are called Manyattas btw, because of poverty, they do it because that's what they have known and continue to know. The Maasai community live in manyattas as well but you'll find one family with more than 1000 head of cattle and even more goats and sheep. The economic value of all that is well over a million Kenya shillings ($10,000). That doesn't sound like poverty to me.
@gracetruth9287 жыл бұрын
I have said this before and I will say it again...without your oh so loved "patriarchy" women wouldn't have been oppressed to begin with. Without oppression, women in these cultures would have had the freedom to pursuit a career in anything. Thus, women in history would have been greatly more educated and would have likely invented, discovered, and developed many amazing things. But that opportunity was cut short, by pieces of shit like you. So no, we wouldn't have lived in "prehistoric conditions" if women were given leadership positions and opportunities, we would have lived in a world where men and women could have cooperated and advanced civilization together. No one sex should rule over the other.

@aleezard But reality says the otherwise. Please remember some country at some point of time, when women have no right to own a property. Or lead. So, please dont preach of how good your religion is, if some society refuse to do what is right for everyone. I was raised in a muslim community and I completely I understand the hardship of patriarchal society. Many women are forced to get married, have difficulty to decide on their own, everything is being dictated by men in the family. And thank GOD I was able to free myself even though at cost of losing some of the members of my family. But GOD knows, it worth it.
@illi04 жыл бұрын
@@hiimain7932 I am sorry for the hardships you faced, but it has nothing to with islam in of itself. I was raised in a very religious Muslim household and I completely understand where you are coming from. However, I have to admit, the religion itself has nothing to do with how women are treated. In islamic history, women are seen the same as men, for example Prophet Mohammed's first wife, el sayeda Khadija. She was a businesswoman who was held at very high regard and had employed many men to work for her because of her high status and success. Islam also heavily advocated against burying women alive at a time where female children were all killed for just being women. Also, the prophet himself has advocated for men treating their wives with respect, and love.... I really get your struggle, but in all honesty, islam doesn't preach for Male supremacy, it's the fragile men in eastern countries who feel the need to dominate women....

Shouldn't you be supporting villages more instead of cities. Man made currency is not natural you know. Why are you even wearing clothes, living in modern houses and supporting large scale agriculture if natural laws are what u care about? Women are never under men, men cannot carry on civilization with lesser women but women just need few men to carry on. Make sure not to oppress so much that a large scale movement ends up making all men prisoners and be milked only for sperms.
@thegreenvibe99584 жыл бұрын
@fabi aN not white, I am brown! Also, divorce rates are rising cause your women now know their own rights and refuse to be treated as slaves. It's your fault for treating your women the wrong way. OceanEclipsed exactly, they even allow males visitors, like there are a few females with male partners who we see in the background. As long as he is respectful and understanding, it's fine.

Lmao its like bill burr says, "'there is never a reason to hit a woman' is a load of crap. There is plenty of reasons, you just don't do it!" xD I kinda feel like that goes both ways

"Only a man can provide them with protection" and yet the protection they need is from other MEN. Their desperate need for control is toxic and so many wars have occurred throughout history because a man decided he wanted more control. Glad to see that a cycle of change is beginning. Kudos to these amazing women.

Without wars, the tribes would have died out due to lack of resources. Wars were a necessity back then. Men killed other men to feed their community.

@@selfishcapitalist3523 that's as if to say "there is no other choice". That's not true. There are other choices and there are always other ways. We just need to have the resilience to choose those (maybe more difficult) choices.

All we see here are whores in nice clothing. They do not appear to have the agility to catch food or defend from hyena.

This is amazing. Heartbreaking and infuriating how far women must go to have human rights.

She was so calm, but the sarcasm in her voice tho, I bet the she was really trying hard to not be rude and respect his culture!

@Sultan Abdulhameed II dude we were talking about men in this specific video where he was talking about killing women is FINE as long as the husband want, which means the women we're not given any right of their own life. So needless to say men in this video are fckin crazy, aren't they? It doesn't take any special title like radical feminist to see that.
