To me, this is one of the most touching moments in film history. Not the romance with Mia; the Thanksgiving party with Danny's talent, the "Island of Misfit Toys," and how lucky they feel to have each other; and a turkey TV dinner. I love the stuttering ventriloquist. Pure Woody genius.

Woody Allen's best film. Beautifully shot in the NYC of so many people's lives. Redemption at any point of life is a triumph.

For me, his best role, and Danny Rose might be my favorite film character ever. What could be more charming and heartbreaking than a small-time manager who truly loves his small-time acts? And gets hurt all along the way. The ending is beyond perfect, leaves me speechless every time.

My favorite Woody Allen film. Great story with a lot of heart!

You can laugh with him throughout the movie, except the hospital scene, of course, but Woody's face when he opens the door and sees that Mia's character is... at that moment it's silence and emotion. Those eyes through the glasses, looking at her in silence, say much more than a thousand words. Is my favorite movie.

I gotta agree..........I see it more now when I'm almost 40 years older.

Tragic? After what he did to Barney, it was the only thing he COULD do. Besides 'acceptance, forgiveness and love', Danny's humanity is the story of the movie. He gets dumped time and again, but stays true to himself. Even the end scene, where you think he will be bitter......he relents and goes after her. Beautiful.

Exactly. Read my comment about Danny's Thanksgiving party with his misfit clients. It is one of the most beautiful, touching moments I've ever seen. And somehow it's still funny. For example., the stuttering ventriloquist.

Lots of good funny bits. In the warehouse hiding from the mob. 'Look there's only one of them and there's two of us I think we can take him.' 'Yeah he's got a machete. If he gets us there'll be four of us.'

If youre refering to the instrumental song that plays while woody runs after mia and catches up with her in front of the deli, that sounds like "My Bambina". If youre refering to the song that plays during the end credits, thats an instrumental version of "Agita". If youre refering to the instrumental that plays during the credits after "Agita", thats "Funiculi, Funicula"

Damn good ending. Not long after seeing this movie I saw Nick Apollo Forte (“Lou Canova”) on the Tonight Show. I hated him. Thought he was an arrogant jerk.
@jamesbruno1519 Жыл бұрын
my dad‘s friend did the music for this and the reason why Nick Apollo forte disappeared halfway through the movie is that from what I found out forte wanted more money for being in the movie and would’ve just told him no I can’t pay you anymore than what you’re getting
