I loved this movie...the best Woody movie i saw...i been in entertainment biz for many years and this was authentic...and funny!

For you is this better than Deconstructing Harry?

The scenes of the old comedians sitting in the restaurant reminiscing about Danny appear so spontaneous and unscripted. No one does multi character dialogue scenes with such authenticity better than Woody. Not even close. The black and white film. Just brilliant direction !

the best film by Woody Allen together to Manhattan, beautiful the incipt, the Danny's friends talking in a restaurant (gestures of the actors and facial expressions copied many years later from QT in Reservoir Dogs, nothing new under the sun)

Growing up, my parents owned a clothing store. 75% of the year’s sales were in Nov & Dec (no pressure there…) Every Christmas Eve @ 5pm close, they brought out drinks & shrimp cocktail for the employees, toasting the season that was.❤

VERY HEAVY, WOODY WHO IS AN ATHEIST HAS A GREAT LINE IN THIS MOVIE. HE'S TALKING TO MIA IN A RESTAURANT AND HE TELLS HER: MY RABBI SAYS: WE'RE ALL GUILTY IN THE EYES OF GOD.AND MIA TELLS HIM: WHY, YOU BELIEVE IN GOD AND WOODY REPLIES: NO.AND I'M GUILTY BECAUSE OF IT. BIBLE SAYS: ALL HAVE SINNED AND FALLEN SHORT OF THE GLORY OF. GOD. HOWEVER THE BIBLE ALSO SAYS: GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE SENT HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM SHALL NOT PERISH BUT HAVE ETERNAL LIFE EVANGELIST ROGER MANSOUR MESSIANIC JEW

I don't mean to be facetious or didactic in any way but I find the recent child abuse accusations against woody allen disconcerting
@cultfilmfreakreviews5 жыл бұрын
i don't think he did that. he married his daughter in law, who he raised since she was a little girl, and because of that freakness they threw in the child molestation for free. and with the MeToo those who got away with it are paying the piper.

@@cultfilmfreakreviews daughter in law? Soon Yi was not his step daughter, not his adopted daughter, and definitely not his daughter in law or any other relation. He didn’t raise her and barely interacted with her until she was a in her late teens. Their relationship started when she was about 20. It’s icky but not as icky as people think.
