I always just thought I could never be an actor due to my anxiety, and this is the first time I've ever known of an actor (especially one who is absolutely incredible) talking about their struggles with anxiety. Kind of mindblowing there and I'm so glad that despite her anxiety she was still able to achieve her dreams

Super late to the party but thank you Eva for sharing the good and the bad of being a broadway actor. So often we forget that even seasoned professionals (who are INCREDIBLE) struggle with being on stage. They put themselves through a literal battle of wills (both internal and external). Isaac S i think the difference is that (in most productions I’ve been in at least) the backstage is directly behind the stage/next to the audience and so there isn’t any buffer to stanch the sound. It seems like they may have barriers, but also that they have levels so they’re “backstage” but not directly behind the stage or close enough so that the audience would hear.
