Broan AI Series Fresh Air Systems Wall Controls

It would be useful if Broan included a web address that shows the corresponding model #'s for each of the wall units. For example, The optimal wall control for our purposes would be the one with 2 small upper buttons. The left button is Auto mode, the right is Turbo. The lower switch offers the fan settings for maximum medium minimum and intermittent. This wall unit is not to be confused with the one that looks very similar but is simply called a speed selector control with incremental fan speeds adjusted in 10 per cent increments.

How does it measure outdoor temp? From a sensor within the hrv? It’s not connected to wifi and there’s no external sensor ran to it so it can’t know any other way.

I try and change it to intermittent mode but it continues in dehumidistat mode.

Mine flashes the turbo and intermittent button. They alternate. I have been looking for a trouble shooting manual. But no luck

I had the same problem. I just went to the unit and on the unit itself it showed how to reset it. I just reset it. After resetting it the blinking stopped after a minute or so. Then I pressed the fan speeds and it worked. I don’t usually use the machine and it was odd that it didn’t work. Since it has a computer on it, resetting it usually works.

I have a blinking orange light where the auto button is. Any idea what that means?

Broan documenting needs help. This is a better overview than is available on the web page. There is no real marketing literature (sell sheets) on the wall controls, in particular the costly top of line Touch control. Where things really suffer is the lack of a user manual with detail of modes and sub menus. The best that they have is the simple two page install guide. This weakness is compounded by the exceptionally poor technical details in the AI Series HRV/ERV. It is nearly impossible to figure out what can be done with the AI series BEFORE purchase (or after) with the various combinations of the four major modes of connection: 1) Stand alone; 2) stand alone + interconnected with the furnace AHU; 3) Main controller controlled (4 versions going to the data lines on J9); 4) Main controller plus interconnected/synced with furnace. So many questions, so few answers. I am sure that they will recommend calling tech support, but that is not a fruitful path to success, nor does it allow easy buying decisions.

I completely agree! Very little no user manual/user friendly. So many ways to make this so much simpler to use.
