I think you pretty much do budget shopping. You really only buy the basics, fruit, veg, grains. Many people throw in chips, cookies, junk stuff and that really adds up. Way to go!!

A peeled zucchini blended with your dressing also would work well to balance the flavors and act as a thickener.

Try adding cauliflower florets to pasta (half n half) to lower calorie density - can’t taste the cauliflower. Serve a 50/50 plate and you’ll lower it further. Thanks for all your hard work and inspiration.

Your mashed dinner looked delicious and I don't even like macaroni! And I am the same with my family. Grapes are four times more expensive now, but the way my little girl's eyes light up when she sees them, I have to buy them for her. As long as I can continue to afford it, I like for my family to enjoy the foods they love.

Thanks Amie for doing a day of eating even with the whole family around 😍 Abe is so clever , great math and writing the meal plan 👏👏👏 love to see your kids enjoying the food and the smoothie 😍

33$ a week per adult and both kids together. That’s really not bad, for me, sometimes that can be similar 30-60$ a week, depends if I get shelf stable stuff too, that can be a bit pricier. Food really should not be as expensive as it is.

I use russet potatoes which are very starchy, carrots for colour and then just add garlic, onion powder and a cup of the cooking water and it’s super creamy and cheesy. Yum!

I buy groceries at the cheapest supermarket including their offers, bulk buy dry starches, cook in my instant pot & air fryer on economy 7 rates in order to save money. I never eat out - not only expensive but they put oil & salt in the food which I hate. My grocery bill is much cheaper than that of a carnivore/dairy eater.

What is the lactic acid for. And where do you buy it.
@Amelia-qm6bk Жыл бұрын
I would say you are already budgeting by eating at home and cooking from scratch. Am the same, most fruit I get is not for me, but I eat lots of veggies to compensate. Produce is so much more expensive. Ps- if you soak your broccoli, the bugs do come out. And really we need to wash all produce especially from the chemicals which are sprayed on them and which accumulate in the body overtime and cause all sorts such as allergies and such like ……..
