as much as i want bowers, i cant deny that we need oline help, and this year is a rare opportunity to get a really good one. Being pick 18 in a talented OT class makes the decision easy

I wish the Bengals fans can think about last year when they had the bottom ranking defense of the year, meaning they couldn't stop the run. Everybody had a good time running the ball against the Bengals. That's why I believe the Bengals should work on defense mostly this year and the draft if they still trying to go to the super bowl

Losing Reader stung a bit. Adding Stone , Bell, and Rankins will help . Stone and Bell will keep the younger guys in position to succeed. The Bengals will adjust as needed to minimize big plays both in the run and pass. Bell is really good at communicating and getting people in and to the correct spot. CHEERS.

No matter how it falls, the Bengals will be adding a great young player to the nucleus of a winning team. Most likely a Top10 talent will be available at 18

I don't even think it's " most likely " I just think you're right without it lol According to most NFL teams there are way more actual 1st round grades on players than in past years and there's definitely 18 of em and I think it's closer to 40 who have a real 1st round grade as a prospect! That could end up meaning nothing but it's a deep draft at certain positions for sure

@@no2_justin no we don't. We do the same thing literally every year and every year the Bengals go in a different direction because you people don't know how to construct a complete football team. We don't need a OT with the 18th pick. They will see it the same way.

@@royalflushterry Oh and you do? What are you doing with pick 18 then? Why do you value OT so little, considering o-line depth has been a big part of ending our season in 2021 & 2022? I’m not saying that OT is the only need and the guaranteed pick at 18. I always say BPA. But you said we don’t need an OT, straight up. Not just pick 18. If they don’t come out of this draft with a quality OT, whether it’s the 1st, 2nd or 3rd round, I will consider that a failure.

Starting to fade on the idea of WR at 49. The depth at the position really should carry to the 4th. Gotta go OT at 18, then DT/CB/TE in the 2nd with WR/RB/IOL in the 3rd

Ordinarily I’m always all in on upgrading the trenches. But we have made some decent moves already this year to upgrade to offensive line. I do think Bowers is that valuable and rare of a talent where we have to take him if he is there, but he likely won’t be. People forget how important an elite tight end is not only in pass catching, but protection and checkdowns. He’s a huge middle of the field threat. But if we don’t get him, we have to get the best lineman available

Brock Bowers is a solid pick but personally DT1 makes a little more since than TE1 as of right now. Don't get me wrong, Bowers could be to Burrow what Kelce is to Mahomes but the lack of a pass rush outside of Trey Hendrickson 2:55 in the AFC North is not what you want to do yet again this season.

I feel real good with Joseph Ossai, Cam Sample and Myles Murphy. Our back end was unsettled last year. Now that we have Bell and Stone to solidify the secondary the effects of it will be felt up front. Rankings is a great signing. Now let’s get a stud defensive tackle to rotate with both him and BJ Hill is going to positively impact the edge and pass rush. Just watch and see.

I think Bowers is great and would be a good pick IF we didn’t need a DT and OT so badly. Latham or Fuqua at 18 and if both of them Are gone the Byron Murphy or Johnny Newton. This 2 guys are game changers and along with Trey Hendrickson they will make Our D line VERY formidable. If we get an o lineman in round 1 the. We MUST get a DT in round 2. There are A LOT of good DTs this year. Not like the last 5 years this class is deep and there are 12 DTs in this draft that I would be thrilled to have on my team. Dewayne Carter from Duke Kris Jenkins from Michigan McKinlly Jackson of Texas A&M, and there is a guy for Clemson I can’t even say his name or spell it but he is a DT around 290 lbs 6’4’’ or 6’5’’ and he is from Africa. And you got Maason Smith from LSU and Mekhi Wingo also from LSU. Not a lot of people talking about Wingo. Wingo is 6’ 295 and has a 4.85 40 a 32 inch vertical and did 28 reps on the bench press. Not as strong as a Geno Atkins but close. You can always get stronger and put on muscle. Geno is 1 inch taller than Wingo. Their testing numbers look almost identical. Geno did 34 Reps on the press and had a 33 inch vertical and a longer broad jump. Other than that they are basically the same. Same exact 40 yard dash.

For the past couple of seasons we have been saying how we need a decent TE Bowers is a great TE If he is available at pick 18 we would have to be seriously stupid to not take Bowers at that pick and he would be locked in at a rookie contract so we would have him for a few years if it was my pick that’s exactly what I’d do….

I hope the Bengals draft OT/OG/C Dominick Puni R3 pick 80. Super underrated and could be a great project for 2025 line up. Bengals need to draft the best remaining 2 IDL in rounds 1&3. No way you let Murphy or Newton walk. AFC N RBs are the toughest in the league. The IOL on the Browns and Steelers are just too good to ignore. I bet they won’t draft a TE or a WR. With Irwin, Iosivas and Charlie Jones as supportive roles at WR, they are projects that give an excuse to not draft that position. You had a breakout TE in Tanner Hudson and a true receiving TE Mike Gesicki. That’s enough insurance at that position. You can upgrade DL, OL, and CB all day. That’s what I’d expect the Bengals to do for the draft.

Bowers may be the LOB viewers choice, he’s definitely James’s choice, and may be the fans’ choice overall too. But as soon as the front office see the designation “TE”, I think they rule it out as a 1st round pick option. They just don’t value the position, whoever fills it. I absolutely believe that if they were offered a rookie Travis Kelce at pick 18, knowing who he would become and the level he would perform at, they would still pass on him.
