That Eagles D-Line was vicious, and they were chomping on our O-Line all night long. 41 and been a 9ers fan all my life. Born in the Bay and at 21 moved to AZ. I lived right down the street from Brock and watched him at Perry HS. He was great then, great in college, and was great when he got his shot. I believe that he is a franchise QB and am so excited to see what he does next season!!

For a rookie to come in the middle of the season for a Playoff contending team and play like that is pretty amazing. I can’t imagine the pressure. He handled it well and succeeded. He lead them to the NFCCG. And that’s not easy to do, especially at a professional level. Dudes confidence must be through the roof. I hope the 49ers have found that quarterback they have been searching for for decades.

I'm watching this on the eve of the game vs the Cards in the '23 season : 12-16-23. Curious that we were 12-4 vs Az's 4-12 in '22 because this '23 season finds us at 10-3 vs their 3-10 mark. Thank you for putting this together and I can't wait for what you compile for the Niners '23 campaign. We have clinched a playoff spot and hold the #1 seed in the NFC. Brock is currently the embedded starter and he's arguably the favorite for the MVP this year along with CMC who's having an incredible year thus far. Jimmy G is gone to the Raiders where he's injured and Trey was dealt to Dallas just before the Niners crushed the 'boys at Levi's 42-10. He's ridin' the pine there. This was absolutely a GAS to watch! Purdy is only getting better! Thanks a lot!

One truism about quarterbacks in the NFL: When you hear the word “Magic” applied, you know that the player is not going to be the long term answer. That, and the word “mania” tells you that the player will be replaced as soon as possible. I have not heard those words used consistently with Brock. He is just a damn good/great quarterback. Period.

I totally agree with you, I grew up with Joe Montana and then Steve Young. I was spoiled as a Niner fan. But since then we haven't had a real franchise quarterback since Jeff Garcia. Brock shows all the intangibles. He may not have all the physical gifts, but his intelligence is off the charts.

I have been thinking. How would you like to be a defensive coordinator trying to scheme your defense for meeting the 49ers? Don’t think there’s enough NoDoz and Tums to get through the day. Deebo was out with injury in the 2nd quarter of the 1st game Purdy became a starter against the Commanders. That's why we didn't see too many passes go to him for about 5+ games into Purdy's starting QB role for the 49ers. I think this year will be different.

I just don’t see the franchise qb part. I didn’t see any tight window throws. I saw a lot of open receivers which only lets me know he can make his progessions. A lot of 5-15 yard passes to open receivers. He played against average defenses and once he played a top defense things started looking iffy. My comparison to purdy was and still is a better version of Taylor Heinicke

To be thrown in the lion’s den and lead a top franchise to victory is outstanding. Brock is a rookie who is still in development. Don’t forget he broke several records as rookie. He was the first rookie in NFL history with four touchdowns in a playoff game, first rookie to beat the Goat, Purdy became just the second rookie quarterback to have at least 200 pass yards and two pass scores in a playoff win, only rookie to win 12 straight gams and more, so you can’t hate.
