The War is VEEERY summery, it sounds very fun and i feel like vocally D.O. stood out a lot on this album. he had a lot of great powerful moments but he also played around a lot with his voice, a lot of the adlibs in Diamond are actually from D.O. which no one expected when they first heard the album bc it sounds like chanyeol or sehun

Most songs from The War had focused on heavy productions that sometimes you think to yourself like what it is, but you liked it anyways. Since SM has an experimental style on producing songs, this is one of the examples and Ex'act album too. Let it simmer to your ear. First time I heard this as an EXO-L made me think how can EXO do more different sounds that they can pull off like this. Hoping for your more EXO reactions!😁

My fave Exo album always changes depending on my mood, the season, the weather 🌴 ☔️ ❄️ ☀️ It’s impossible to have a fixed #1 fave Exo is just too good… Brockkk don’t you dare skip reviewing the Winter albums… cos those are much more than just xmas music you already know… don’t forget our solo and sub-unit albums either 😊😊😊 As you may know D.O. Established his own company for solo activities (Company SooSoo), and Baekhyun has done the same (I&B100) and it has just been officially announced today that Chen and Xiumin will also do their solos (as well as CBX work) under Baekhyun’s company. Company SooSoo already confirmed that D.O. will release his next solo album sometime between April /May!!! OMG i cannot wait to see how he goes about it. Will D.O. technically be the first SM artist to do a solo album through his own company?!!! I know some SNSD and SuJu members have also not renewed their solo contracts with SM, but how many of them actually released solo albums through their own agencies? For example Suju Kyuhyun signed with Antenna, which is part of KaKao, so he released his solo today under a well established agency… How will Kyungsoo and eventually Baekhyun Chen and Xiumin do it… totally independently? Or in partnership with another label? Will they do the classic kpop mini album format, with photocards, live countdown, will they do something totally new? Especially since D.O. hates taking selfies for photocards and doing the typical kpop star shit… The I&B100 press release also mentioned the fast changing kpop music industry and that they have to adapt and change as well as artists past their 20’s… I am soooo hoping for some fun changes in how they make their music now that they will be independent from SM 😊 Let’s go EXO-Ls we need to go harder for their solo work of our CEOs!!!

Exo always try to bring something new in their albums. I found them in 2023 and now after listening to so songs i can safely say that they never repeat the styles. Exist is soooo different musically abd vocally. Even the vibe. After exo it is shinee and tvxq with great music. Actually SM in general produces great music.

The War is probably my least favorite EXO album, if I'm keeping it a buck fifty. It doesn't help that the previous album Ex'Act is my favorite Exo album to this day, so my expectations were HIGH. It definitely has a few bangers (Forever, Chill, The Eve, Touch It ESPECIALLY), though. Given the heavier focus on electronic production on this one, in my opinion it works best when heard/seen live than purely listening.
