Every song in the tempo album ( love shot is the repackage album, Trauma, wait and love shot are the added songs) represent a member and you can see their superpowers in the lyrics Sign: Chanyeol Oh lalala: Kai Gravity: D.O With you: BaekHyun 24/7: Xiumin Damage: Chen Bad Dream: Sehun Smile on my Face: Lay Oasis: Suho In Sign ice and air are also mentioned but the Fireworks is the key word. Chanyeol is represented with fireworks in Kokobop, in D.O's Rose mv and BaekHyun's Bambi too. ( in Rose you can see all the members represented and supposedly also in bambi like the rain for suho and ice cube for xiumin and so on) Wait was our winter gift because that year we didn't get a winter album. Hopefully we will get one this year. You should see it live there are 2 version one with the 8 members and one from exploration where Chen, Kai and BaekHyun had to sing Xiumin's and D.O's parts.

Thank you so much for yet another wonderful reaction! 🥰 I don't usually leave comments anywhere (sorry!), but I really appreciate how much attention to detail you pay in your reactions to everything (be it vocals, rap, dance, performance etc for each EXO member). Your thoughts on each video are incredibly interesting and make your content much more enjoyable. This whole album and repackage are one of my absolute favorites! Not only because all the songs are incredible, as per usual, but because the Don't Mess Up My Tempo album actually incorporates all 9 EXO members' superpowers! 😃 The album has 10 songs in total. Excluding the title track, Tempo, each of the 9 remaining songs are meant to represent each EXO member through their lyrics or overall vibe. Each members' corresponding song is as follows: 1. *Sign - CHANYEOL* : The lyrics mention "fireworks" & "burning" things down. The song has a more intense, passionate feel too to resemble *Fire* . 2. *Ooh La La La - KAI* : Lyrics like "Please allow me into your imagination/reality; I'll go right in; I'll dance in your eyes; Like you're telling me to open the door" refer to his *Teleportation* , especially the door one as in vids he's often portrayed to teleport via multiple doors in long corridors. It's also a smoother, more sensual vibe to fit Kai. 3. *Gravity - D.O* : Lyrics openly mention *Force* and drawing a person in like planetary gravitational pull. D.O's power is often shown using floating rocks and the *Strength* of pushing/pulling of things or people in vids too. 4. *With You - BAEKHYUN* : The entirety of the lyrics uses metaphors of *Light* to describe the effect of one's love onto the other (i.e. stars shining brightly; sky glows; world sparkles; your eyes take in my light and shine brightly). 5. *24/7 - XIUMIN* : Lyrics describe the extremely cold words & behaviour of an Ex, with whom the relationship has ended, towards the speaker. Using lines like "Ice is stuck in you heart; You're too cold" to relate to Xiu's *Frost/Ice* superpower as well. 6. *Bad Dream - SEHUN* The song uses metaphors relating to *Wind* to compare bad dreams of a past lover to a storm raging around the person, "You blow in; flying all around me; empty sound of the wind... becomes a storm; winds calm". 7. *Damage - CHEN* The song once again describes the hurt of an Ex lover who hurt them and the pain likened to a sudden flash of *Lightening* and the sharp, resulting damage. "Setting off my flares..in the darkness". 8. *Smile On My Face - LAY* : This is a song about a person *Healing* and reflecting on past memories of a relationship with a smile. It's very beautifully done. 9. *Oasis - SUHO* : The song title itself refers to its connection to *Water* and how the person is searching for their Oasis. It utilizes lyrics such as "Lips are drying; found an oasis; this burning thirst". The song also has a calm, soothing feel similar to water in my opinion. I'd even say that each EXO member's vocals are highlighted in their own representative song by the singing/rap parts they have given to them (except for Lay of course 🥲). The repackage album released later on had the inclusion of Love Shot, Trauma and Wait. The song Wait is technically a winter song which EXO added as they weren't able to release a whole winter themed album that year (which they knew had become an annual tradition that EXO-Ls always looked forward to). Phew, this was a lot!😅 Didn't mean for it to be so long. Lol. Anyway, hopefully you found this slightly interesting and could keep some of this in mind for the remaining songs you check out later 😛 Looking forward to more content from you in the future. Sign is one of if their best B-sides imo, i can't get enough of it but i mean every song is a literal hit whether its a title track or b-side. Yeah Brock, I just watched the behind the scenes video of the guys recording Hear Me Out, so interesting as always...God I love them so much! The first time I heard "Wait" I was on the verge of tears it was so beautiful....Trauma and Sign were hyping me up, the way they played with their voices were to perfection...you surely CANNOT sleep on Exo's b-sides....and since you brought it up, I myself have highly expressed my choice of an Exo b-side song for my wedding..."My Answer" from their "Exodus" album 2015....I cried when I heard it first album listen...then to see them perform it at their Exoluxion concert, dear god, made me cry again, IT IS SO BEAUTIFUL BROCK! I’ve watched Wait live more than just about any of their other concert performances. The only thing wrong with it is D.O. and Xiumin are missing (military service) and their lines had to be redistributed. Otherwise, it’s as good as you’d expect. It’s EXO live, after all.
