Dodgers could have done a jersey to highlight the port of LA Long Beach. Navy blue and green (the port of LA color) and work in either a crane or a container ship drawing in there. The port, warehouses and 18 wheelers is pretty much what employs most Angelinos, so an ode to those industries would be cool.

The Yankees will eventually get a city connect uniform, probably next season. I picture it being a home cream color uniform with navy pinstripes with "BRONX" as the word mark and the navy cap with the "NY" logo with a skyscraper in the background. Navy crown and white bill The Oakland A's kelly green "Oakland" jersey might as well be considered a city connect jersey.

The reason they changed it was because Julio Urias? He always liked to wear it and it had a connection to him, I can see that as a reason to distance the team from that. The hats are cool, but the rest of the uniform is bad, and I feel like if you have to explain it, then it doesn’t really connect with the city or fans.

As a lifelong Dodger fan and a native Angeleno, I will say that it's a marked improvement over the lazy, unimaginative "Los Dodgers" version. These look more like a City Connect should look like, though it doesn't exactly make my heart beat with civic pride. Of course all over the MLB, the 28 fanbases that got City Connect kit are all hard to please in varying degrees (though here in SoCal, everyone will agree that the Angels got the better City Connect in the region). The fans panned the Los Dodgers one but warmed up a little once they had a winning record wearing them. Will the same happen here? We'll see. I rate the v1 "Los Dodgers" a D and these v2s a C+.

As a Dodgers fan. They really missed the mark here. other that ITFDB it misses the mark for me. Hat looks off two different fonts is not great. Why the strip on the pants and not the jerseys? Hat should have been a the "LA". with the baseball going through like is on the standard logo. They always wore the los dodgers when Urias pitched but didnt wear it after.

Colors matter. Dodger blue was iconic. As was the powder blue of UCLA and the North Carolina blue. Teams which have been around as long as the Dodgers should not mess with their colors. I'm no Green Bay Packer fan but I can't imagine that team messing with those green and yellow colors. Same deal with the Browns. I nominate the Red Sox city connects as the WORST baseball uniforms ever worn.

@@elsongs I didn’t mind the all blue pants and jersey but I feel like a blue jersey with white pants looks like a batting practice jersey or spring training uniform. The hat being exactly the same as the jersey is what ruined the look of the whole uniform. They should’ve just done a normal LA hat or something like this new hat with the D and LA and it would’ve been a great uniform. They could’ve made the Los Dodgers hats and sold them if they wanted but they never should’ve been worn on the field they’re terrible. When else have you ever seen another hat with that much text on the front of it? It looks so wrong plus it’s exactly the same thing that is on the jersey so it’s repetitive and looks even more wrong. I really don’t understand how some of these uniforms make it past the initial design phase and onto the field.
