if you are not going to roll the rear inner fender lip i would go with a 1/2" spacer. you will want a minimum of 1/2" clearance between the tire and lip otherwise is will rub on a hard cornering.

Ok..take this from someone who has done this several times...you have to adjust the lower spring nuts on those coil overs half way up the treaded section..this is where ride height is determined..so you can adjust it up or down as needed..that will give you plenty of room to mount it the proper way

Not sure if you can tell from the video, but it is not the spring adjuster nut that is causing the problem. It’s the actual metal base of the shock that’s bottoming out before the bolt hole can align with the one in the control arm. Another Nova owner messaged me and said he had the same exact issue and then he called both TCI and ride tech and they confirmed it.

@@Brody-Dolyniuk ok..tci prob put the wrong lower brackets on the A arm..they have been known for that..lol..or they sent you a lower arm for a standard shock instead of coil over..im also building a 67 from ground up..aftermarket is not a perfect science..lol..cars lookin good i enjoy seeing other people ideas

@@ericsorensen4193 not sure. I don’t believe they offer this front clip any other way than with coil overs. Their instructions show a slightly different looking shock being installed right side up. I’m going to call them.

YOUR SUPPOSED TO COMPACT THE SPRINGS ON THE SHOCK BEFORE YOU INSTALL IT,SO TAKE THEM OFF, COMPACT THEM,PUT THEM ON ACCORDING TO INSTRUCTIONS

As soon as that car can roll, you should load it on a trailer and go to DMV with your receipts and get a title..... They will get stickier about it as the car progresses and becomes more valuable, where right now, they can see that it's a collection of new parts....At present (before paint) you can point out how it differs from an original body......DMV s can be tougher than building a car,....Do it early!
