I came up with a spinoff once called In the Land of Fiction. Second Doctor and Jamie, just just vibing in the Land of Fiction. Each story is a different medium, like different styles of 2D animation, or claymation, stopmotion, etc. I'm thinking Cbeebies. Get 'em while they're young.

I'm really enjoying War Master's audios bc not only is Derek Jacobi super talented and very fun to listen to, but even tho he's a charming and kind-sounding older gentleman, he's still The Master, he still has all these half-baked dumb plans that never succeed. Listening to him get frustrated with the daleks in Anti-Genesis was just so funny like, of course you're bored with their lack of personality. Why did you think replacing Davros with yourself would turn out well, much less fun? Totally worth my money!

Fun fact, as of _today_ the Doctor Who Wiki accepts non-narrative sources, like that thing in the last fact, as Valid Sources for in-universe articles (basically the wiki's substitute for canon). And are likely less than a week out from counting the Shalka Doctor after recently accepting Peter Cushing's Dr. Who as valid, which cleaned up a lot of stuff because of how often the Cushing movies are referenced.

Wasn't In The Night Garden by the same creator as Teletubbies? Maybe during one of the points of meeting their future self, the War Master was told about how good Teletubbies was by the Saxon Master, so decided to get involved with another show by that creator. Although I don't recall when James Goss made that a thing and I'm sire I've listened to all War Master audios, except for the latest boxset (including when the War Master is in other series). Yeah, maybe Doctor Who should stick to wildly making the events of British history all aliens. Whenever they dip into American history (and probs other countries too, I just notice the US the most cuz I'm American) there seems to be a 50/50 chance of it being incredibly cringeworthy.

99% of BROKE CANON is not Canon. After all the tv show over rides most of it, with whatever the newest version of history is at the time. also "Alternate Timelines" inside a "Time Paradox Event" should not be considerd 100% canon to the Main/Sacred/Prime timeline, as thay only effect the people who remember it happening and even then if the timelines are out of sink, not even The Doctor remembers it correctly.
@themetaphysicalgentleman3 жыл бұрын
Doctor Who isn't like other series, though. It's not like Star Wars or Star Trek where there's an explicitly stated policy about what is and isn't canon; other than the time they said the audios are canon and the time they said the crappy Eleventh Doctor games are canon. Not even the show has been explicitly stated to be canon, and it's contradicted itself just as much if not more than it's contradicted the books, audios, etc. And when there are things in the actual show like "the moon is a dragon egg" and "the Daleks were permanently dead forever, but now they're fine"; than why argue that the other stuff doesn't count? And given the Doctor has lived for an incredibly long amount of time, it's not like there isn't room to fit these stories in.
