I’m constantly on the bench this weather...
@Crewchief2274 жыл бұрын
I have mostly (actually more) of the same upgrades on my Outcast. A little tip: If you take the top two ears of the bulkhead and retap them to M4 screws the wing will be way stiffer. But M4 screw heads don't fit in the RPM wing mount, so put them in a drill and sand down the heads till they fit. Also the rear mount screws can be lengthened, but the lower diff access screws pass thru the mount screws channel, so measure the depth with a driver first. If you try and put too long of screws in you'll crack the base of the bulkhead.😉💪
@richduperbash29664 жыл бұрын
Awesome stuff Kev 🤗!!!! You do a great job with the bench and wrench vids Brother 👊. Great close ups, tips, and technique. Super helpful for others too. I'm digging those 7075 hubs 👀. Not sure why that rear brace bent though 🤔. I'm guessing it was 6061. I've never seen a 7075 chassis brace go bendy like that 👀. You're absolutely right about hard hits taking out electronics 😱🤣🤣. Hope the next servo hangs in my friend. That cushion under the motor certainly can't hurt. 🍻🤙🤙😎💪👊👊

Hope you See This Kevin!? Hey Kev Mate Here’s a Suggestion to Stop Servo Shock Breaks: get some Nitro Fuel Tube and Undo the Bolts that Hold the Servo Mount then Cut 4-5mm and put over each Bolt then Thread Lock the Bolts and do up Finger Tight as in just tight enough that it slightly squeezes the tube then Leave a Day to Set then Most Impact is Taken Out and You’ll Find it Sometimes Saves you Servos When Crashing Hard with Wheels ok buddy?. 😎👍

Awesome ♥️🧡💛💚❤👍 Re-extracting metal parts that have been bent after being damaged is a temporary solution. The structure inside the metal changes and is bent better. But metal is more expensive, so let's spread it and recycle it.

Any decent savox will. I know you have experience with them and don’t like them, but please, take my word for it. They’re not the most precise and they are extremely power hungry and extremely noisy, but they are ultra reliable, super durable, and monsters of torque.

Kevin, maybe you can look for the HPI Savage Super 5SC brushless motormounts. They support the motor in the frond, and in the rear. It's like 2 clamps all around the motor, en superstrong. Maybe it work out for you, to keep preventing to bend te motors.

Take your shocks apart and put one cm of nitro fuel hose on the shock shaft and it will work as a bump stop to soften the landings like a real monster truck

Hey Kevin, not sure if this will work but what if you put a thin piece of rubber then put the expanding foam under the motor so the foam will give the motor cushion while under that you have the rubber that will give it more of a firm support, but still not as bad as just hitting the chassis.

Kev, why don't you add more damping to the shocks? You can also add the CEN Racing steering rods to the car. Those are beefier. And you can also add double shocks for better damping when it lands from those big jumps. I saw this guy do this to his Kraton 6S. He has his own channel on KZbin. Track13? If I remember correctly. His set up was bulletproof.
@KevinTalbotTV4 жыл бұрын
