Hi Patricia. If possible, can you do a video on preparing for post-university life? What to expect, how to make yourself stand out on job applications, etc. Thx

I'm on my second year of uni . I have three bank account for different purpose(my way of managing money ).I will save and gather money in a main account . I think I'm a person who organise money(nt only money tho) pretty well . 'Budgeting' is the most important thing ever! Do not over spend ! I work part time as well for extra saving . I wasn't born rich I know how important money is ! Love xoxo

I do the same. Organising money makes everything easy not to over spend. Even if everyone thinks I am crazy. Its crazier to be broke than organised

Ahem college kid here here are my tips: try to stick to one major, not sure what you want to do? Go in as undecided. Next cook! $30 a day on food is so not worth it, try to save as much as possible. Textbooks? Rent them, borrow them, pdf, there are cheaper ways.

Another hack for you guys: Leave the UK and go study abroad (in continental Europe), it is way cheaper and better.
@ron94038 жыл бұрын
I don't think that european universities are gonna make it hard for British citizens to study in their countries. Besides, even for non EU citizens, university fees are still cheaper in continental Europe (around 2000 euros a year)

Nice move from the government but don't you have to be a finnish citizen in order to get that student allowance ? Yeah, I've heard about free education in Scotland for EU citizens but does it include master degrees as well or only bachelors ?

I'm 26 and use my student card everywhere!! If you live in the uk and use trains a lot make sure you get your 16-25 rail card, it saves so much! Like others have mentioned, I also have multiple bank accounts: the main one is bulk money, one is for bills/ standing orders ONLY and the other is for everyday spending. I do find though, that if I take out £30 for the day and leave my bank card at home then I am more controlled that way. Also! Students can gather so much junk during their time away at uni, and while I know it's great to give to charity, if you can try selling your old stuff on your uni's "for sale" Facebook page, on Depop or even like a car boot sale!! Make some extra money as Patricia said 😘

Don't go for Natwest. Go for Santander, get that free railcard. Add it to your oyster or travel home for less. Overdraft is £2000 straight away but £1500 if you don't put enough in. Can't remember how much you have to put in to get £2000

@siennas31868 жыл бұрын
Just check out all the charges. Make sure you don't go over the overdraft and can clear it before the time limit is up. Remember you can't usually borrow the max advertised. And you have to arrange the over draft first with the bank or you will be charged and a lot. What you could do is take the interest free amount and transfer it to a savings account earn the interest.Just make sure you take it out in time. And if things do get a bit desperate always approach the bank first before going over the overdraft or the interest charge will be higher than if you don't. Congrats on getting natwest to partner this vid. And you look gorgeous!

The best way to save money is to be proactive. Know ahead of time what all your bills are and WRITE THE DOWN. Once you do that examine how much money you have. Pay your bills first. Save at least 15% and then you have some spending money. Please try not to overdraft. That is not a good habit to get into, but like in the video, if you are in a pinch then it must be done! These were some really great tips! Now that I am in grad school I may try a few (investing in myself more). xoxoxox Kay
@sheenarehema278 жыл бұрын
your right natwest is amazing with what they have to offer as I graduated 2 years ago. however paying the money back isn't easy even with a full time job. I wouldn't advise it as I've been through it myself 🙈. luckily I've paid if back but took me two years! and I know a lot of graduates in the same boat. it's tempting but only use it if you are investing in a business or yourself with financial rewards in return. do not spend out of your means. when you get paid from work your account is already in minus so u keep spending what u earned and stay in minus. natwest is good at getting students and graduates
