Nice detail on the firewall. The copper lines are a nice touch.

1;34 wow. that was close. I had the same thing happen to me when I was taking my rear leaf spring apart. That woke me up. Sometimes less is good on the firewall. I painted my motor satin silver. I think it looks good with my flat black engine bay. I would like to thank you for all the cool tips and tricks that you share with us. Thanks for sharing your videos.👍

A Combination of Raw material, Black, and Copper would set that engine off. Build is looking Awesome...
@livingthrulimits98544 жыл бұрын
Great results on the fire wall, the copper pipe was the topper. The engine with that combination would look good in flat black. If you have brass expansion plugs leave them unpainted. I think that would really set things off. Just a thought. Car looks great!
@boneal49424 жыл бұрын
Looks awesome, the copper and raw firewall metal look great together. I’m thinking black for the motor, that way it won’t steal the show from the remaining componentry. But you have a good eye for design, I’m sure it will be sick either way🤘

I’m really loving the copper, I think using some copper inside the cab would tie it all together. The color of the engine should stand out kinda like a Diamond on the ring.

Love the copper pipes on firewall. Engine:copper/rootbeer flake. Or å Green tone,like oxidiced copper and copper valvecovers and copper piping.also some brass details are cool.

Great idea on the copper tubing for wiring. I would not have thought of that. Looks cool. Paint the engine Cobalt blue; goes good with copper and would be out of the norm and with copper coloured valve covers (Timothy Newkirk comment below) would be sweet.

Dude. Use the "Hammered copper" paint. I did my house front door in it, and it kicks ass. It fits well with the steampunk theme.

You might consider a faux oil rubbed bronze paint finish. It involves using a metallic copper paint highlights on an oil rubbed bronze base coat. This paint process give the engine that steampunk look.

If you seam sealed the the over lapped panels before riveting they wouldn't have rattled.Very nice work though, enjoying the series,Engine color : Platinum.

Are you going to put a coating on the copper to keep it from corroding?

Dude, cleaver how you used the Copper pipe to hide the wires. Nice execution. Also, keeping the firewall simple. Flames etc.......Distracts from the look.

Satin or Mat black for the engine. Gloss black is too shiny in relation to the rest of the car. Another viewer suggested copper colored valve covers which I think is a good idea as it will go with the copper wire way you installed.

I mistakenly thought that firewalls were installed to delay a fire from getting into the passenger compartment and that any holes in it had to be via tight fitting grommets. I also thought they had to be made from steel or similar material but apparently all this only applies to aircraft or race cars.
