They should add a third spear to the goblin giant while decreasing HP slightly. The problem with the GG is that it’s going to be competing with Giant because it’s not different enough. Make the gimmick of it better.

Jeremy Paton I think that’s actually like a way to make gob giant a capable contender to the giant. This made me think what if instead of spear gobs, it’s just 1 (or 2) dart gobs. Lol, a literal tank carrying machine guns.

Ash you should interview some average players from mid-high ladder. Everyone on is super high on ladder, and the vast majority of the player base is affected differently by balance changes than pros. It would be really cool to see some representation.

Please no on the Tag's mirror change. I agree something needs to happen, but I do not want to have to deal with double goblin barrel, or two battle healers healing each other. Such combos should require an opportunity cost such as the extra elixir, or building your deck cheap enough to out cycle your opponent.

apparently with the low use rates the algorithm that matches me with mirror users must be buffed on my end because i face it every other game.. I'm personally glad Tag has nothing to do with Balancing for the actual game because he is not a subscriber to the small changes until it's right model he is a fan of kill or make strong.. Evidence could be found when he said a few episodes ago on balancing that he though E golem should be killed and then worked on making it balanced??? I just don't think the balances he brings represents the game as a whole but only his game play which by and large balancing would effect the least. It's mid ladder players that deal with the cards they don't think get played enough and we are beat to death with them.. I only have lvl12 cards if you make a card that can give you a lvl14 cheaper then i can't win AT ALL.

I think an interesting mirror change would be to make it always be a specific card (chosen in deck creation) but costs 1 more elixir and is 1 level higher. This means you can run a lvl 14 fireball at 5 elixir to kill musketeer straight up without running fireball itself. Or you can have two goblin barrels regardless of what order you play your cards. This lets you respond to threats without ruining the card in your mirror. Of course, you lose the flexibility of mirroring multiple cards in one game.

The problem with mirror costing the same is that you're just making the OP cards even stronger. Imagine it in today's meta, everyone would play it with Magic Archer - you fb a MA and then they just drop another. Now what do you do? It would give every deck two of the most OP cards in every meta instead of just one.

Great episode! Just a suggestion for next time you do the BROKEN episode: Maybe try to get Drew or Seth on the call as well to banter and give feedback to the KZbinr’s card suggestions. I personally think it would be a great addition to this already amazing format and maybe some of the good ideas may even be implemented into the game through Seth and/or Drew.

Give fisherman 3 hooks that it can shoot out at once However, some win conditions will require all three fisherman hooks to move the target ex: Lava Hound Give the fisherman a slower pull so that it acts as a sort of freeze that paralyzes the unit for a second Buff attack speed and allow it to very slightly slow down the card it is hitting Reduce health slightly Complete rework to make the fisherman a control card that would be very good on defense, but very weak on offense

Here are some ideas how to balance some of the mentioned broken cards: Mirror: Mirrors the last placed again for the same amount of elixir but one level below it‘s own level. Fisherman: Pulls his Targets way faster than before, but the pace of them being pulled depents on how heavy they are. So a golem gets pulled way slower than a goblin, just like the tornado does it.

@@mildlyobesegoat7262 you know it doesnt change much between most of the cards, sure not all cards are broken with mirror but just image double healer behind the tower for 8 elixir, you literally have time to place something infront of it and win the game in one push. Let's be realistic, mirroring a card for the same elixir cost is just too broken, at maxed levels a level 13 or 12 card doesnt change much, especially if the original card which in order to be copied has already been placed is already on the same level as other cards. But while one level difference doesnt change much, an unstoppable and immortal push with golem and double healer does, just play golem in the back, mirror 2 healers and put a splash behind when golem crosses the bridge, you can even sacrifice your opposite tower because that deck wouldn't need defense, it would win in a push.

I definitely believe Earthquake deserves a nerf, it some ways it is similar with freeze that it nearly 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 destroys all defensive counterplay if you use a building to defend. Another thing is that it cripples a whole archetype, as much as it is hated, I do not believe a 3 elixir 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗹𝗹 should be able to hard counter X-Bow decks. A 3 for 6 trade is stupid and EQ is usually found in quick cycle decks so you can't even outcycle the EQ. Even if you do manage to outcycle, they can just block your X-Bow and cycle back to another EQ.

I thought of a wacky idea for E Barbs. Remove 1 E Barb from the duo, reduce the elixir from 6 to 3, and IF needed, further adjustments can be made (like if he needs some stat adjustments or if you wanted to, Idk, give him a shield or something like a spartan or maybe that charge idea that they suggested (27:27) but where he's normally Very Fast but in the charge, only his damage increases and not his speed). Im thinking 3 elixir instead of 4 because they would then get outclassed by Mini Pekka, Lumberjack, Valkyrie, and probably Dark Prince. 3 elixir just allows them to be more flexible. As 3 elixir, theoretically it could serve as an okay rush card with slightly above decent damage and solid HP. Considering it compared to other 3 elixir cards such as Knight, Miner, Ghost, and Bandit, it wouldn't be as tanky supportive as Knight or Miner but moves faster and is more damaging, it wouldn't be as tanky or have his splash or invisibility but he moves faster and deals more damage, and it wouldn't have Bandit's dash ability but it's tankier, more damaging (in scenarios where a unit is dropped on the Bandit preventing her from dashing on them compared to the 1 E Barb), and moves faster. That's my idea as of rn. It you have any ideas that you'd like to share, then talk to me

Ash, I can't be the only player around 5300 trophies with this problem: I am a level 11 with all level 12 cards, facing maxed players who play garbage decks all the time. Despite my "level of skill" being much higher than these players, I lose about 50 % of the time due to the level discrepancy. I think this is a serious problem supercell needs to address, perhaps by reducing the max card level to level 12 or 11 Great video as always!

Make the fisherman’s hook double as a ground ranged attack that can kill skeletons, maybe like a weak Executioner’s axe, and deal extra damage to towers. Also, I think a new spell built like poison that leaves a burning affect but spawns Fire Spirits as if it were a Graveyard.

Elite Barb's. - Runs slower (now slower speed is still faster than regular barbs but not by much), then starts to charge. Charge animation is them running with their helmet horns pointed forward. On hit their helmets blow off in AoE damage. After that they can't charge anymore. Also once the charge is going and helmets are forward they also double as a shield. So if a sparky hits them the helmets just blow off in a AoE explosion and the Barb's run at their slower speed to attack the sparky. Now any attack once the charge is started will knock the helmets off, fireball, zap, poison tick, spear gob spear, etc etc. But the helmets can only be knocked off when charging.

I would love to see the fire spirits burn the ground they land on explosion on. The area would be small and increase with each other Fire spirit that lands on it, the ground would obviuosly deal damage over time in addition to the original burst. Also that would buff the fire spirit card while dont change the furnance much. Another option would be that they apply a briddle effect which increaces the damage taken by all other sources for like 5 seconds making the unique and furnace pretty annoying again.

Magic Archer is high skill without a doubt and the issue is people just want to place cards and automatically win😯. The pros tend to contradict themselves sometimes because of their demands, what about the rest of the community? The game if for all of us not just youtubers/pro's (no offence to anyone out there). Royal recruit idea - change deployment completely. When you touch the screen they are in a group similar to guards, and could be placed in a horde all on a hog or giant. As you touch the screen and move your finger it shows you the deployment that will be selected when you release your touch, touch the screen and swipe to draw a line for a standard full arena recruit deployment. This would allow you to drop them all in the pocket or on a tank, or deploy them all across the map as they are now.

My nerf ideas and justification for each card: Magic archer: FIRST hit speed reduced by 0.2 seconds. MArcher shouldnt be killed, and this makes it a tad more manageable on offense. Mirror: Now costs same amount as card mirrored, level DECREASED by 2. Mirror at same level is game breaking, or close to it, because it would break logbait, cycle and others. 2 lower is more manageable. Better safe than sorry. Fisherman: Hook no longer slows. Now no longer dies to lightning, hook speed increased. Hook range increased by .5 tiles. Fisherman has been bad for a long time, it needs a big buff. As for the hook slowing, I never knew why that existed in the first place. Fire Spirits: Splash radius increased by .4 tiles. I completely agree with legendaray. As for furnace, its point isnt splash radius anyways Mini Pekka: .1 hitspeed reduction. Back in the lavaclone meta, some people were calling for a buff for mini pekka. Instead, LJ got nerfed. I think LJ should get a first hitspeed buff. Royal Recruits: Ewww. Some of my rework ideas make it similar to guards, but better. Others are downright OP. Should be deleted. EBarbs: Costs 5, spawns 3. Hit points, damage and speed reduced, spawns in a spread out triangle. Hopefully helps as a tank killer and counter pusher. GobG: Move speed increased. Hit speed increased by .1. I know it hurts sparky a bit, but it just doesnt get to the tower fast enough. Helps other deck ideas. Zappies: Small health buff. Meh, needs to get buffed at some point. Royal delivery: Delivery speed increased. Pretty simple. Thanks to whoever read all of this! You are a very attentive person.

Edit: Below are my opinions on the cards discussed. I think you guys really hit the nail on the head, best balance video I’ve ever seen you guys do and I’ve been watching for 2 years Magic Archer is cool, to nerf him I would go the route of shortening his projectile range or sight range. Maybe slight damage nerf? Mirror - plz do this, I’ve been asking for this for the past 6 months Fisherman (and this applies to hunter too) should have more health, for their mechanic makes them basically a melee unit. Fisherman needs a few buffs one definitely being a wind-up buff, the e wiz interaction is disgusting. Fire spirits - short and simple... nerf and then 1 elixir Mini Pekka - I’m neutral to a nerf, just don’t over do it. Royal Recruits: It’s the one card that seems ok bad, it has its place. It’s good in draft and touchdown. It’s ok in certain decks in certain metas. Just leave them be. (They were relevant in the fisherman meta... bring him back and see what happens to recruits) Ebarbs: major health nerf, small damage nerf, 4 elixir, make them a glass cannon viable in bridge spam similar to bandit or ghost. Maybe even fireballable like normal barbs. The high elixir is part of what makes them so low skill and bad. (A lot of their ideas sound too complex for a common card). Also keep their speed. It’s kind of their neesh Goblin Giant... I don’t know what to do with him... he is interesting. I’ve heard someone say add a third spear goblin, that would be interesting... Zappies: small buff, nothing crazy but they need it Royal Delivery: make it not take 3 years and it’s cool, it should be a defensive arrows, you take away the range on the other side, you give a recruit

the problem with royale delivery is that you need another small spell in your deck so you can counter firecracker, magic archer and princess and other cards like that as your opponent will just be able to spam those cards on the other side of the river and you can't kill them without using heavier spells so maybe let it target your side of the arena and half of the opponents.

I would like to see Royal Recruits get some sort of air interaction. Every other one has a javelin similar to Royal Champion in COC. I also like the different formations idea of 1x6 to cover the field or 3x3 when played to left or right. Maybe even reduce number of recruits if played to the side. You get 6 if you use the line and 5 (3×2) if you bunch them up. You could also make royal recruits similar to goblin gang by having 4 recruits and 2 archers added.

this is the best balance critique video i think you have ever done. great ensemble of experts. on the 'same cost mirror': i think it will be awesome- everyone can do 2 MA and 2 fireballs. It wil help cycle a little and maybe hurt bait a little- that is in the overall game meta imo. An even cost mirror would bring Zap back to its former prevelance likely. I think Fisherman doing a lot more damage per hit would make him something of a MA sniper. otherwise, having a stun affect when he slaps with a fish would allow him to make a MA retarget. I like hte RR and RD discussion. Having both cards deply in formation / boxfall based on whether you deploy it on one of your towers or on the battlefirld would be pretty cool. A little bit of both ASH and the reddit post's idea mixed together.

Maybe they could change the mirror as they said (same Elixir, same card level/+1 card level) but change the name to "Elixir Mirror" and give 1 elixir to an opponent after killing the mirrored card- similar to elixir golem. This would make it more even regarding the elixir exchange with similar disadvantages as Elixir golem has.

I think that the fire spirits are actually super underrated. I play them in a super fast miner cycle deck that is working really well for me, and the fire spirits are one of the core parts of the deck. The strategy I use for the deck is a lot of spamming stuff at the bride and using miner to tank for card like dart goblin, and the fire spirits are a must answer when you play them at the bridge, and they also are great for kiting certain cards, and they can hard counter a lone mini pekka or lumber jack if you play it right. They also counter goblin barrel really well, and they can do well if you just need to deal some damage to a baby dragon on your tower. I think they are one of the most versatile cards in the game, and I think that the only reason that they are not played is because they go away when they die, but if you think about it as a 2 elixir spell that can kite, bridge spam, and deal with cards like the prince or the minion horde for a positive elixir trade, then I think that it is a viable card

For E Barbs maybe give them a rage effect for a few seconds after deploying them on your side like in coc? That could get annoying for bridge spam so maybe make some difference for that but that could help them chew through tanks

I replaced arrows for r delivery in my mortar deck and it actually works nicely, but I wouldn't change its drop time at all because it's the main thing that distinguishes it from other spells.
