Broken Age Act 2 Ending No Commentary

Those images in the credits may show what the people do now after the ending but there is still hardly a feeling of closure. This ending just feels like a buildup to said ending but then it cuts off. I at least wanted Shay and Vella to celebrate their victory with their families, hang out, get to know each other and be buds as a crazy celebration takes place and the credits roll.

People who wanted the two protagonists to kiss at the end... They literally saw each other in person for 30 seconds including the ending, why would they kiss? Because they are both a boy and a girl of roughly the same age? Yes, I agree that it would be cute if they ended up being together after this was all over but it's probably gonna start with them getting to know each other first, I thought the shared smile was enough.

Okay, something has been bothering me forever... When Marekai finally reveals himself, he refers to Hope/Shay's mom as an "old friend", and then when he is talking to the Overlord guy of the "pure" race when Vella sneaks in on him, there's that little blurb: "Yes, sir. About the mother.." "You know the rules, Marekai. She came in contact with an unpurified primative. Who knows how many diseases she's carrying!" "Yes, Thrushmaster. I'll initiate the repairs and (sad voice) prepare the incinerator." Why does he care about Shay's mom??? Not to mention the thing with Vella being "the speciment that could true the formation" and the Sugar Bunting/Steel Bunting thing and good lord there were so many loose ends that will never get tied up. We didn't even get a conclusion to the drama with the fork and the spoon. Like, c'mon.

Plot twist : Gary was the real hero. Shay was just there to help him and Vella was kinda connected to Shay. 1) Thank you for playing this game! It is one of my favorites. This is my second time watching. 2) Although a lot of people want Shay and Vela together, I think that it makes more sense for them no to. They just met, and they have gone through a lot. The way that the developer left their relationship is good. Besides, there are lots of good romance stories out there, however that's just my opinion. 3) As mentioned before, this is my second time watching this and I loved every bit once again. Hi this is old I know) but if you like point and click games I can suggest the Blackwell games; it’s about a ghost and a medium helping to move ghosts to the other side. It’s fun and like only 5 bucks. Mostly wadeye games. Or try the wolf among us from telltale games, story about the big bad wolf (Biggby wolf) trying to solve the murder of a murder prostitute. Hope you find joy in them, but mostly look at telltale’s stuff. Have fun hope you see this !

Ever notice how the ending is the only time in the game it ever rains? I find it quite refreshing, so to speak. Almost as though it's cooling off the story after such a heated climax. Washing away the barriers keeping Vella and Shay apart. And maybe, washing away the lies that kept their people in the dark. It's also symbolic of something else: change.

EndlessSOS They destroyed the Mog factory. Ok. Makes sense except when you consider that they're an advanced civilization, so they can probably rebuild it within a few decades. It's a short term answer to a long term problem. The civilization still stands, and they don't do much about it. The just leave. The two Mogs they did have were destroyed, so they can't use them to build their own ships for defense (probably being nit-picky, but that's my nature). And why does the bridge stay? The city walls can destroy it, and the leaders have no intention of letting the two cultures merge. The leaders are also still alive, and just how is Vella's grandmother one of them? It's not explained or gone into, just a few seconds. The advanced civilization itself isn't gone much into, and with little foreshadowing on anything. The idea was good, but in my opinion, it needed at least two more acts to properly get the story explained. The first act established everything. This act could've had Merak convince Vella to hep him and that Mom was evil, only to turn on Vella at the end, revealing that he's not a wolf. The Mog gets taken by into the Red Bay just as Shay arrives, and gets his existence even more confused as he learns the truth. The 3d act could be more details and possibly some destruction of the city, possible crippling the leaders. Then in the 4th act, they convince the people that the Plague Dam is wrong and merge the two cultures, finally taking out the leaders who seek revenge.

HUGE technical issue. 35:55 the handle for the power was clearly taken earlier, isn't even in the scene entering this room, and in fact is being fought over in the instrument room, but suddenly it's randomly there. This made figuring it out myself really difficult because there was no logical conclusion that would lead you to expect this. Devs should do an update.

Great game overall. The only part I will complain about a bit is that I thought they would have done puzzles where you control the two of them in the same place to solve a puzzle. Or at least have the main characters interact more than the couple of scenes and team up. This is the main reason I feel as if the ending was rushed since we never get to really see the two of them interact which could have made some interesting puzzles. They both had great characteristics and them being together could have created great dialogues and helped develop both characters more. They could have stretched out the story a bit more and given us a place to explore with the two of them and the alien city could have been that since we didn't find out anything about it. We don't know how the humans there are treated, how they co exist, how they keep the scheme from the humans and all those things we didn't get to find out. But I guess they might have thought about it but run out of budget, anyway like I said before, great game.

(Already warning you at the beginning, my English is terrible, so I'm sorry if I misspell here) From what I understand, for each player it's a different sequence, on Shay's part you find the sequence in the book, which makes him play the harp. For him to play the drum, you have to go in the act of Vella and see what the original robot sequence is (of the robot that arranges the wiring, etc.).

Now, with the newly repaired ship, he wants revenge. He will stop at nothing til shay and Vella are so far apart that they can never find each other again. This game pushes the love of their family and friends so hard, and yet people are still hoping Vella and Shay kiss at the end. You're.... what? I've copied 3 different wiring patterns (from this video and 2 others) for vellas hexa-gal to dance and none of them are working. How do I figure my own pattern out? I'm stuck on both vellas and shays bot. I have no clue on how to figure out the harp wiring either. I wrote down the pattern and tried to do it like the first time we needed to do wires for the hexapal but it just isn't going well and I'm about to give up on playing. Please help!

Wait, wait, wait, soooo, what just happened? I may have typed all of my questions, but I may literally have over a billion. I see other people don't understand it either, so I'm guessing if there is Act 1 and Act 2, and at the end, there clearly won't be an Act 3. This leads me to one conclusion (unless I simply just didn't fully understand the plot in the game, I mean like what the actual plot in the game is, i think you know what I mean) : There will probably be a Broken Age *2*, or it could be named something else. I mean, theres just *too many* loose ends on the plot and whats going on. If you do know the whole plot though, please tell me :3
