"Broken and ignored" is story of half of this games weapons. They really prioritized making new weapons over balacing the game and giving us new kits.

my thoughts as well. splatoon 3 really prioritized big, new, “flashy” things, like new mains and specials, to reel players back in while leaving everything else to collect dust- especially so for non-shooter weapons. it’s a shame because I really liked splatoon 2’s random buffs, like squiffer’s air charge or splash’s jump accuracy.

​@@geet9830 Crazy part is they could've done both. But they don't care enough to give us balancing, accessibility features, or even changing your ink. And they also got very lazy with the stage design, I hope this new one is a banger.

Honestly I prefer them doing more weapon variations. At least one kit per these alternates, like what's happening with the Decavitator (Inkjet!!) and Wellstring is still required, but I feel it makes sense to put more effort into giving people more playstyle variety in a more interesting way than just swapping out kits.

They're just sorta scared to make any major changes it seems. Also yeah over the past 3 or 4 seasons the maps have improved quite a lot. Also wdym accessibility features? also also why would you want changing ink color. how would that work.

Honestly such an affective "documentary" on a weapons history that i know so little about, teaching me the emotional impact it had on its users and on this community as a whole. Things are fast paces so that you don't get bored at all, but still not so fast that you can't take in what's going on. The editing quality is beyond me and i love this format. Keep it up :)

I remember how when Splatoon3 first came out, I thought "Well, at least Bamboozler is likely to get a second kit fairly early on since it was fairly popular at the end of Splat2!" Oh how naive I was lmao. At least I got a new main (Bambrella) out of it, even if both of its kits are meh ^-^

they finally gave it a combo kit and I still find the weapon fun to play and fight since now it isn't just squiffer but with half the charge time since there is no more damage up which genuinely made it so there is no point to combo with burst or fizzy if you can just run mpu/dmg up and just one shot the enemy faster than a squiffer can. took too long for the kit though since they decided on a seasonal update and prioritized more popular classes over more niece weapons (like why did they make neo splash and ttek identical to each other when both weapons already have top tier kits)

I just picked up Bamboozler in this game two days ago! It’s very fun so far! I just don’t like the way how it won’t paint when the ink would land of a slope (I don’t know how to describe that perfectly but you know what I mean) also, if you don’t like the rumble for it, then you can turn off rumble in the settings (of the console)

Funny how the issue with bamboo paint is not exclusive to it, it also happens with the other chargers, and even other weapons, it has been a issue with ink since the release of the game

I don’t really get how it’s been broken, it’s still just a really solid weapon in mid range. I don’t even think the kit is that bad, autobomb is a good for detecting people while still having a threatening bomb, and the special works well for detecting people and comboing for a quick one shot if they take any chip damage. The new kit is also really good, fizzy and chumps both have a big radius with any chip damage killing with one charge shot and give it good painting tools.

Bro bamboo is getting a new kit and its gonna be fire. Fizzy and chumps allow for the chip damage it needs to splat people. It will have a niche in splat zones.

The main issue with Bamboozler is that Squiffer is usually just better at the same role. Bamboozler has the advantage of a fast charge rate, and is a lightweight weapon, while also outranging the Squiffer by a fair bit (still nothing insane though). Squiffer can store a charge, no charge penalty while jumping, and a one hit kill. That means Squiffer kills much more consistently compared to bamboo, and its charge kind of negates most of the issues in terms of charge time, while also giving it extra options (Squiffers charge is also still fast for a charger). Imo, Bamboozler needs to be buffed slightly more, as over the years Squiffer has benefited from storing charges which also combos with squid rolls and squid surges, while Bamboos buffs have been much more insignificant. I’m saying this as someone who actively prefers Bamboo’s playstyle over Squiffer (Bamboo is the only charger I genuinely enjoy).
