Splatoon 3's Most DIFFICULT Charger Weapon...

The Bamboozler in Splatoon 3 has potentially got to be one of the more difficult charger weapons to use in this game during Chill Season in 2024.
With the lack of damage up and paint it has become a much harder weapon to wield well!

At first, I was using the bamboozler as a meme weapon, but then I ended up 5 staring it. It's such a fun weapon to use.

What I never understood about Bamboozler until Splatoon 3 is that the tap shot has nearly the same range as the charge. On all other chargers your tap shot is pathetically short because you are meant to use the charged shots to get anything done. Bamboozler's strength over the other chargers is how fast you can pull off kills by mixing up the charged and tap shots from a fair distance.

This is what the Bamboozler always should have been. With its near instant charge time, it never should have been able to 1 shot people because that just made more people run it with Damage Up or MPU rather than choose weapons like Squiffer. It encroached on the role of chargers like Squiffer with a faster charge time and longer range. Also, I believe its paint has never been particularly good, at least with the main weapon. It's just its kits typically helped mitigate those issues.

@@splersh194 I don't hate it, I just didn't like the playstyle which involved stacking Damage Up or MPU. Saying the weapon is what it always should have been doesn't mean I hate it. It's just that now people actually have to play it the way it was originally designed

As funny as MPU Bamboo was, it definitely kinda ruined the weapon's identity. Now it finally get to stand out on it's own merit instead of trying to be a regular charger. (But uh... if we could get that second kit with burst bomb that'd still be much appreciated)

When you equip the bamboozler you're playing with a charger on hard mode, Not only are you playing a lower-range sniper that needs to two-shot, but the counter to bamboo is longer range chargers, and when you enter X Rank the game forces you to play against chargers due to how the game tries to balance teams by putting "similar" weapons in the same bucket.

The squiffer is so much harder because you are basically finished if you get in range and miss your one shot.

i feel like comparing multi shot chargers (Bambozzler, Snipewriter) and single shot chargers is a little bit difficult due to their inherent differences in gameplay. I've never felt the squiffer was inherently harder. You don't need to land all of your shots, just most of them.

I also like to run it with ninja squid. Really makes you feel like a commando sneaking around and being nasty. Sniping people from weird angles they don't expect... Almost like a bamboozler of sorts.

I first played the bamboo during the recent random weapons challenge. I have never even touched a charger before that but i kinda fell in love? The lack of range and two shot kill basically forced me to play a bit more aggressively so i was picking out two v 1 and splatting from a farther distance than my mate. Hitting already weakened players making ut a one shot hit every time

Im a Bamboo main (or at least its the weapon i play the most), its not nearly as difficult as you’d think. It takes adjusting to, but it has a massively different play style once you figure it out, especially mk2 which can be played really aggressively from my experience. You can shark, skirmish and slay really well once youve got into the rhythm of the weapon. Bamboo is a very mobile weapon. Its the carbon roller of chargers, you need to keep moving and i’d argue it plays a lot like some shooters. If you stay in one place like other chargers, you’re not taking advantage of bamboos main benefit - in which case, it becomes a harder charger. I have good enough aim now that Bamboo feels kind of broken at times.

I’ve played with every charger since S1 except Bamboo. This weapon was hard for me because the charge time was just too fast. Its much harder to establish a rhythm with each shot, making it more difficult to pull of flick shots. However, I’ve decided to give Bamboo a real shot lately and been patient in the process as well. This thing is extremely versatile I’ve been sleeping on it.

In order to play Bamboo you have to not play it like a charger. You can't camp halfway across the map and kill in one shot, that almost never works out, you have to constantly be moving, take advantage of it's 2 shot since a full charge and a tap can kill, and overall not be a coward

I find the title odd because the Bamboozler is the only weapon my barely A- rank ass can actually use effectively.. I wanna flick shot people when I see them, but I don't wanna have to wait for a normal charger's windup, or deal with blaster's low range. It's the only charger which does not get lower range for tap-shotting, so charged shot into an instant tap shot kills at any range it can hit at.
