Broken and Neglected ML63 AMG Heres How Much It Cost Me To Fix this High Mileage Mercedes-Benz

It has been two years now since I purchased my
ML 63 on Ebay from Swiderski Motors in Buffalo New York. While the guys there did install New Brakes and Tires....that is about all they did. They neglected to mention the Non-working Keyless Entry which is a sign of a Bad rear Sam. Nor did they mention the Multiple Cylinder Misfire. Which was attributed to a faulty Main Computer. It had bad rear shocks and a bad hub. The battery would die every few days because of the bad rear Sam due to the leaking taillight seal. The car was Puking Oil which was the cheapest fix with A $10 Oil Filter Housing Gaskets and $28 Camshaft Timing Cover gaskets. Also over the 2 years of ownership I had a front Airshock blowout and a Blower Motor go bad. This LONG and AGONIZING process cost about $2,200. $1,500 in Computers, $280 Rear shocks/hub, $100 A/C Blower, $160 Front Shock, $38 Oil Gaskets, $60 Oil Change, $10 Serpentine Belt.
Now However She is Well Sorted and Running Strong. The Purchase was an Immense Learning Process and I am happy to share my knowledge with others. These are Great Cars with Superb Drivetrains. They are Easy to Work on and I’m more in Love with it Now than Ever Before.

I had big oil leak as well, 1 leak from dipstick(new rubber seal needed) and also the oil filter gasket, replaced with good quality bosch filter and gasket all good

Nice thanks for all the information about your experience man I just found one Forsale 5 miles away from my house and is 2009 Mercedes ml AMG 63 for $22,900 with 60k of miles with 30 days warranty or 1000 miles whichever comes first I think is a great deal it looks just amazing what u guys think should I buy it?

You dont need a low mileage one as I think the value are the high mileage units at half that price.

@Rough Necks Why do you regret it? That's a great price for that many miles. When you drive a ML63 you forget about how much u spent. They are super fun to drive. What makes you regret it, I want to know

Manuel Del Brocco mostly Ebay and FCP Euro for gaskets and such. Rear Sam is dealer only. Main Computer had to be sent out and repaired a few times before the repair worked.

Thanks for info, I have 2 local ones for sale and debating on it. First is 2007 ml63 at dealership 10k with 102k miles silver and looks immaculate but don’t know how it runs but was told runs excellent Second 2007 also, black in color, immaculate 2nd owner, 17k with 73k miles private seller, this ones tempting for sure

My tail gate latch sticks open too, think it's worth fixing?

I havnt fixed the sticking tailgate latch. Just living with it as a quirk of the car. I use the remote key fob unlock. Only real problem is letting someone borrow the car. They will always have the trunk latch stuck and battery is dead or close to it in the AM.

Must Be Sent Out In Either Case if you want to repair or replace Because even replacement unit needs programming. They are not plug and play unfortunately at least not on the w164.
