You can use any piece of rubber or plastic. Just cut to size so that it friction fits and keeps the door shut. Glue it with super glue. It's been working well for me for many years now

Should be called how to hack up your f150 for no reason. Replace the hinge. Lol it's a 30 dollar part. Fix it right!!!

Sherburne Lee: true, It's about $45 part, but you have to replace entire housing assembly which Requires a lot more time. This simple fix works like a charm, takes 5mins, and is a semi-permanent fix. Still working like a champ after almost a year.
