@@suzannehartmann946 no, the focus of his channel IS raising the American Buffalo, educating us to the best of his ability and entertainment. Period! Yes, he’s mentioned his other herd but he was under no obligation to expose his & his family’s heartbreak, trials, tribulations & unfortunate downfalls. He told us because he is an honest, kindhearted person that doesn’t want anyone else to have to suffer/endure what he and his family went through. He was in no way obligated to say any of it as it’s truly no one’s business.

There's nothing to be sad or ashamed of Noah because when we fail, as we all do at times, we are experiencing one of the steps to success. The only real failure is when we don't learn from the experience. It's obvious that you have studied your past decisions and paid attention to the mistakes and have taken care to learn and apply what you have learned. That's success, or at least a giant step in the right direction. There are many more adventures in the Fight of Faith left ahead. Keep your trust in the Lord and seek Him first and all else will fall in line.

People need to know that farming is difficult, complex, that you need a lot of support and a LOT OF KNOWLEDGE. I think sometimes people see folks that have been doing it for a long time with a smooth operation and do not realize what it took to get here from scratch. Sometimes people see a family farm where the person they see today as an adult grew up on a functioning farm and inherited the knowledge and the facilities. To start from being a city slicker and going into homesteading or farming is NOT EASY or automatic. IT IS EXPENSIVE. As someone once said a farmer is a BUILDER. Laying pipes, building sheds and barns and places for animals to water and shelter. TELLING people how hard it is lets THEM KNOW if they want to this what it takes. Thank you for being honest and detailed.

Hi, glad yall are ok! There's a young man who started from scratch, go to cross timber bison!...he's had ups and down's too, was introduced to an awesome vet and some great bison people who are willing to help others get started. Go talk to him, really nice guy! Only thing I notice is you seemed to dive into everything all at once, and get overloaded. This go, slow down, stick to bison first, talk to good bison people, after things are more stable, and you've had time to learn more about bison, maybe you can add another animal...Maybe get a SMALL garden going...hang in there, it takes time to learn new things!

In the late, Joseph Campbell's, "hero's journey", the actual success is that you answered the "call to adventure". It's the left-hand path of the heart (which is on our left side). Time is cyclical and not linear as our society is. You're already there, just not done! You have already been bringing the "boon" which society needs, ever since you first dared dream of raising buffalo. If it's a little bit "crazy", then you know it's a path worth pursuing. The Upanishads of India say: "Better your own path, ill realized, then some else's perfectly realized". Of course, in the long run, if we follow the path of heart, it wasn't "ill realized", after all. Lol!

Thank you for sharing your story! As others have said we all make mistakes but how we handle the opportunities afterwards is what is important. Keep up the good work. I enjoy your channel.

Just watched your video on Why I sold all of our Bison. That was quite the journey of loss and growth personally and professionaly. Love your humble approach and honesty. I watch you often and enjoy watching. 8 years ago I visited my son who was stationed at Fort Sill in Lawton Oklahoma. While there we went out into the rural goverment land and saw the Buffalos/Tonka. So the interest was started there. I wish you all the success you work for and then some. You have a family that has been on video a few times mostly your little one. Thanks for sharing . You've endured some nasty weather, with lessons learned a painful way. But a "Strong Wind" has brought you to where you are. Starting over using the knowledge gained is a good thing.

I have also had to learn the hard way with some things. One of the biggest lessons is that you have to be on the bottom looking up to truly respect the journey. You have such a wonderful story of perseverance that really needs to be shared. You’re a good man Noah, trying to do the right thing for your family. Unfortunately there is not a whole lot of grace in people these days, but it’s not their grace you need. You hit it right about the mercy and grace of God, that is all you need. The rest will fall into place.

It takes a strong and a humble man to admit that some bad choices and bad circumstances required you to make adjustments. I know that it is important that I stay within reach of most of my kinfolk in North Carolina. I think you saw the strength in coming back to Kansas. I commend you for coming back even though you were starting from zero it makes you a stronger person. We can only see what is on this side of the fence(earth) God can see much further and it may take us longer to see his vision clearly.

We bought “blank” land. Took almost 20 years to get in all the infrastructure - house, shop, barn, fencing, water, electricity, roads, ponds. Had to clear it before we could even get started. You are still very young. You did the right thing getting out of debt. You will be fine.
