This is just a theory I heard from someone else, but the reason I still think that Nobara is alive is specifically because she understands (to a certain degree) the shape of her own soul. That would mean she would have some sort of natural resistance against it. Not natural enough to avoid losing an eye, but maybe enough to live from that sort of injury.

What’s craZier about Mahito is how young he is. He was literally born almost a year ago and how rapid he progresses as a curse, having almost beyond human intelligence, despite his personality being so cruel and childish (obviously) this character was so broken that they needed suguru geto to be a character to actually hold someone like Mahito, makes me wonder what his level would be like compared to Gojo, Yuta, Megumi, and Sukuna in terms of power levels, of course once Mahito reaches a “prime” state if he hasn’t already yet

Not necessarily true. Mechamaru has access to simple domain rounds, which when used nullified Mahito's technique, leaving him vulnerable to damage as normal. Mechamaru's plan was to hit Mahito with Simple domain rounds, then obliterate his body. This was entirely possible, it's just that Mechamaru let his guard down at an inopportune time.
