@Ishan Rai there the hakari issue and the fact that tanjiro is good at battles of attrition but not at full capacity because his breathing style's take up quite a lot of stamina and even in the infinity castle arc he had time to rest (sumwhat) and yuji usually starts running out of energy not due to overuse of his attacks of defense but rather he had to keep going with major wounds

I think Tanjiro would be a good friend for Yuji. Yuji is a nice kid, but the boy struggles with self care and love. I think someone as emotionally mature as Tanjiro would help Yuji become more emotionally stable/resilient.

What feat, he literally got trashed the entire fight while Sukuna was being suppressed to 20% Cursed Energy. My bad the only feat he did prove was that his durability increased. Honestly nothing else changed, same old Yuji, too slow not strong enough to do anything important. If anything Maki was the one who had feats in that fight not Yuji. Maki had to ask Yuji could she speed up because she knew he could barely keep up.

Maki told Yuji's shes increasing her speed, thats first time rhey have ever fought together, Yuji says yes and is literally doing the same shit she does. Blocking attacks, landing a few punches, briefly pushing Sukuna back, enduring a few blows and shrugging it off. They're doing the same thing. Sukuna just hates Yuji. Maki didnt even differ much in that fight.

@@dallasdean4115 Nothing has really changed about Yuji since Shibuya. Sukuna has never had to fight Yuji in the real world so it would make since that his strength caught him off guard. However it amounted to nothing basically. Yuji is still the same old Yuji like I said, too slow and too weak to do anything important which is why he got his ass bodied once again. I ask what has Yuji done in the culling games? Nothing he literally has done nothing and will continue to do nothing. I will give you that Maki and Yuji are relative in power I went back and re-read you were right about that. Still though nothing about Yuji has changed, because before the Zenin masscre Maki was weaker then Yuji, she's the one who caught up if anything. Out of Yuta, Hikari, Maki, panda, and Megumi he was the first damn person of the group to get the entire gang a 100 points from Higaruma(which i think need to remind you was the main goal to the overall plan) we briefly see others doing a similiar thing to gain their points after him, and use it. Then Sukuna comes up, "Sukuna has never had to fight Yuji in the real world" nah nah bs excuse. Sukuna has *LIVED* in Yuji for over half a year now, he has seen countless fights where he's going all out and can sense his energy, he already knows what his physical strength feels like. Plus you know it has to be significant power for the king of curses to actually get surprise? The same dude that fews people like ants or fish. If this was the same Yuji from shibuya he wouldnt be saying that crap, Sukuna actively watches. Shibuya yuji got knocked out by Choso's backhand, hell in the extermination arc he was mentioned to be stronger, yet Yuji was almost passing out after every swing from Base Hikari. This version of Itadori got gut punched by Sukuna, sent flying through sky scrapers and several city blocks away. A few panels later Yuji is walking that shit off, while shrugging off more attacks, back in Shibuya Mahito hit Yuji so hard it almost split his head open, the fact that he didnt automatically lose an arm or suffered internal bleeding after getting punched, kneed in the face, or cleaved by a nerfed Sukuna is a sign that he too got stronger. I get tour point about Maki keeping up but surpassing him, but Yuji is also growing too. Its literally the most commom thing for him to do every arc. Plus Shoko even commented how Yuji in the most recent chapters is soaked in Sukuna's curse energy like a sponge, plus he ate the other 6 death paintings too, gege himself said that in a interview that Yuji would get stronger by doing that. "Weak" "slow", we cant even name any other grade 1 sorcerer who would of had the resiliance, speed of hand to hand combat to keep up with the new advanced Maki we got. People like Kenjaku and Gojo are just monsters. Yuji's far from weak. The Good will arc, Curse womb arc, shibuya arc, extermination arc, and culling games. Yuji has played a large helping hand in each of those parts of the story. Some of the cast of students in jujutsu high would of died had Yuji not came in for supoort(Maki, Megumi, Todou) hell Mahito would still be about, the dude was the 2nd Sukuna in the making. Yuji is so durable and resilient that he can tank hits that would absolutely kill Tanjiro if they landed and not only survive but keep fighting. Yuji tanked a black flash from Mahito unguarded, a gut check from Sukuna that sent him through half a city block and a barrage dozens of nerfed cleave and dismantle attacks that even at only 10% of Sukunas max output were each as strong or stronger than the one that 1 shot a finger bearer. In his fight with Yuta, he even said that as long as he can harden his body with cursed energy he doesn’t fear blades. He’s fast enough to keep up with an awakened Maki, which puts his speed in the same tier as Toji, albeit not a direct equal to it. He’s strong enough to easily throw cars and was even able to kick a large portion of a building at Sukuna, the leap he used to reach him even collapsed half of the building he was on and after slamming through the second one with Sukuna he was able to crack the ground by running and rip a sign with several hundred pounds of concrete still attached to the bottom of it and wield it like a baseball bat. He punches hard enough in base to dent Hanami, the most durable disaster curse, and is able to box with Higuruma, who’s equal to a grade 1 sorcerer without any cursed energy at all. His close quarters combat is top tier in the verse, with few characters ever just straight beating him in hands without using their techniques. Even Choso, the only one we’ve seen defeat Yuji when swapping hands had to harden his body to the point his blood manipulation was on the verge of causing potentially lethal thrombosis to do so, and feared death via blood clot less than getting hit cleanly by Yuji for a fourth time. Then there’s the fact Yuji is loved by black flash and has a definite chance of landing one every fight, and when he does land one, he rarely stops at just a single one. He consistently uses it multiple times, often back to back when he uses it at all. A full power black flash one tapped ascended Mahito out of his 3X base power amp, who was so durable that base punches did nothing beforehand. Tanjiro is by no means a fodder character when it comes to speed, swordsmanship, endurance or extra abilities but I just don’t believe he has the attack potency to do much to Yuji much less kill him, and all it would take is 1 even semi clean hit to at the very least cripple tanjiro, if not straight up kill him. Despite his speed advantage we can’t say for certain Yuji simply can’t hit him at all, since his battle IQ and durability can easily let him last until even a tiny opportunity presents itself to hit tanjiro, be it a clutch prediction of his movements or by disrupting his speed using the environment of the fight.

I think current Yuji's feat (highballed at least) was really enough for him to win Scaling current Maki speed to Hakari dodging Kashimo's lightning attack and Yuji being able to keep up with her during the first fight with Meguna should now put him relatively with Tanjiro with the high hypersonic, meaning Yuji shouldn't be able to be speed blitzed now And since Yuji's AP and durability is already far higher than Tanjiro, he should be able to just land a few punches and win the fight, making it less punches if Yuji successfully land a black flash and is using divergent fist

However Tanjiro could be scaled higher in speed just like your logic, Muichiro was mach 500 in the SSVA by cutting 10k fishes in the span of low time and current Tanjiro massively outspeeds SSVA Muichiro who would be slower than Akaza by a large margin where Tanjiro speedblitzed him and then got way faster than his previous self by fighting Muzan.

It's pretty funny how Tanjiro seems really squishy compared to Yuji, but he is actually still a lot stronger and tougher than Megumi, when in then Megumi vs Reggie fight both were nearly dying from a few tons of weight. Also even at the point of the Rui fight he had grown many times beyond the boulder feat seeing how Rui's most casual attack was obliterating a far more trained and experienced Tanjiro's strike and he could later match and to an extent overcome a serious Rui.

In the beginning of the hashira training tanjiro wasn't able to move a boulder of the size of a human. Meanwhile, reggie while injured was able to catch a 6 ton elephant and hold it on his back. Now, tanjiro eventually manages to push the boulder and he did it without being marked but that goes to show that his highest base strength feat is still inferior to a feat that an injured megumi and reggie did. I wouldn't be suprised if eos marked tanjiro has the same strength as current megumi (by current I mean the latest we've seen him)

Does not mean an elephant resting on him would kill him, which is also lighter than the boulder. Reggie could not move it off himself, a few meters away, while his life depended on it while Tanjiro pushed a heavier object through town as training. The manga also said that the G-force on Megumi was barely 5 times what it takes to knock a average person out.

Spoilers but in recent chapters of jjk yuji was able to tank a consent barrge of sukuna dismantle , mind you sukuna ate 15 fingers or more and he scales expositional for each finger(sukuna took over megumi body so that he was able to attack yuji ) So I doubt tanjiro sword could do anything but more less break in half.

I think Tanjiro just blitz’s Yuji but can he actually harm Yuji? Low-key Tanjiro’s sword might break on contact with Yuji’s body. Yuji should also just have WAY better stamina than Tanjiro, even if you think he doesn’t Tanjiro still has too physical move his body while Yuji just needs too flow his CE (if he even needs curse energy too tank Tanjiro’s attacks) Actually if Tanjiro’s blade cuts into Yuji’s flesh it might be bad since he could probably grip the blade and smash it, if not grab Tanjiro.

Blatantly wrong. Tanjiro can fight days on end and hours upon hours while being injured on the verge of death. Yuji is too slow to even react to Tanjiro so grabbing is out of the question as he got perception blitzed by speed of sound casual Naoya. Yuji isnt so durable to where Tanjiro’s sword who has SUPER STRENGTH and heat hax as well as slight durability negation will break. Yuji would get burnt up and if Tanjiro is blood lusted, he’d prolly aim for other areas like the eyes.

@@ayush9202 read the manga again. Yoi are making up things. Uzui is far faster than sound. His name being the “sound hashira” isnt a testament to his speed. Thats just his breathing style and he uses sound to fight. Not because he is slower than sound. As Rengoku before becoming a Hashira fought lower moon 2 in his gaiden and blocked a GATTLING GUN UP CLOSE and MULTIPLE SNIPERS UP CLOSE and lower moon 2 is weaker than lower moon 6 so Uzui has feats FAR faster than sound off rip. Not only this, but Uzui is only the FASTEST IN RUNNING SPEED. Not in combat speed nor anything else. Zenitsu has the fastest TRAVEL SPEED out of EVERYONE IN THE VERSE arguably with his breathing technique. And Zenitsu is far above Uzui at the end of the manga. So yes.

It's very inconsistent to say that the demon slayer characters are lightning timers considering that any statements about Zenitsu are referencing his breathing style which does not actually produce lightning and any effects attributed with breathing styles are just in the demon slayer's minds to visualize what they are trying to mimick. This also means that Zenitsu can just be moving in the same way lightning moves to copy it, just like how Sanemi copies wind by attacking in sporradic movements to copy wind. Plus, with upper moon 4 getting hit by a bullet, it's just way more consistent to say that they are trying to copy lightning instead of moving as fast as it. And if upper moon 4 can create actual lightning, he never reacts to the lightning, he just makes it in the same way Kashimo just make lightning and never reacts to it. And there isn't any statemnet that claims this lightning moves as fast as real lightning, so there isn't any basis for that either.

Not really, if you go on vsbw you can actually look up an accepted calc that proves that Muichiro (a relatively fodder character) was able to go at mach 500 against Gyokko due to a feat where he had to slash 10,000 fishes in a low time frame, this was pre-HTA and Tanjiro by the end of the series should be massively above this version of Muichiro hence why it's safe to say Tanjiro is massively above lightning timers

We literally see one of the weaker hashiras like Tengen break the sound barrier from just running excitedly then UM6 is shown being fast enough to easily cut him.

Through all this, the only thing that changed about Yuji was his attitude and focus. From wanting to die without regrets, he now wants to end it all by destroying all curses. I’d say that outstrips any feat of willpower Tanjiro has ever displayed. And before anything, physical willpower is naught in comparison to mental willpower, as even the strongest of bodies can break down if they are weak of mind, and Tanjiro faced Muzan with almost zero repurcussions. Inosuke, Zenitsu and Nezuko all survived. Most hashira died, yes, but he hardly knew them personally. Yuji lost various close friends, some of whom he’d known and lived with for the best part of a year and he still forged onwards with no display of letting up. That’s a true hero

Some scale 10% of 15 finger to 1.5 fingers, but that doesn’t account for Sukunas exponential growth from each finger. 15 finger Sukuna is much more than 15 times more powerful than 1 finger . He’s likely around 100 times stronger overall. That would make those attacks scale immensely higher than a finger bearer. A special grade in itself. I think the mechamaru scaling was over exaggerated a bit. It DC could have been city block level, but it burning trees to ash and the surface of the ground isn’t that high imo probably closer to large building level in AP. To help with the sound vs lightning debate you brought up with Mitsuri, I'm pretty sure it's just because the sound waves are used right up close almost every time we see it used and have more attack potency because of it's lack of range to disperse the force. The lightning might be faster, but it's not as potent. This can be confirmed when nezuko gets hit with lightning from Sekido at a range and was able to keep going, but the moment she was hit by the actual staff she was done for at the time. Idk if the same applies to zohakuten or not, but it looks like the lightning gets easier to dodge or shrug off the further they are from you. That's just what it seemed like to me but I could be very wrong since it's not directly stated anyways.

We're forgetting the fact that Tanjiro was facing off Akaza with the help of Giyuu and that they were literally on the verge of death near the end of the fight. The only reason they won in the first place is because Akaza self-bombed and gave up. That with the fact that Douma is faster, has crazier hax, debatably more skilled, and counters the activation of hax / see-through-world means that he would legit low diff both Tanjiro and Giyuu. He could just pop like 3 clones, leave the room and win. (Like he almost did in the manga) Plus, comparing a literal building sized Buddha to a human with a sword in terms of raw force of DC is the most exaggerated thing possible. Just because Tanjiro kept up with Akaza, doesn't mean he's relative to ANY of his physical stats. That was purely a skill / speed feat. This isn't Dragon Ball power scaling where whether or not a character can beat another depends on power levels. Skill is a heavy issue with it as well. Tanjiro simply can't compare in any physical stats other than speed when it comes to the Uppermoons. No amount of extra hax in the story can change that. And I know that he 1v1'ed Muzan and kept up with him but we have to consider this: Muzan was already extremely damaged, all of Muzan's physical stats including regen were completely nerfed, (Though it was still pretty crazy) The drug made Muzan age by 9000+ years through the entire fight, the drug actively killed all of Muzan's cells, and Muzan was actively afraid of Tanjiro's sun breathing since the fight started. (Surprise, surprise, your body shuts down, rejects, and goes survival mode the moment it sees something that gave heavy PTSD) Muzan was nerfed to the point of irrelevance 💀And had you taken away any of those nerfs (Most notably Muzan's fear of Tanjiro) and Tanjiro would've straight up died along all the other Hashira. So please, even though Tanjiro was Hashira level by the end of the series, we can't compare him physically to demons, unless if speed, just because he was able to keep up with them. Just because a Jaguar can kill and keep up with an anaconda doesn't make it relative to all of the snake's physical stats and vice versa, we have to use common sense here! Honestly, this was really well made and researched and it is nice to see Demon Slayer win for once in somebody's cross verse battle video! Though, I would like to mention 2 things on the scaling for the series. The first thing is that I can understand the confusion on how a Demon Slayer character who can apparently avoid lightning yet gets tagged by sound, to which an interpretation have for that topic is that since the characters can't actually see the sound blasts in verse, they get caught off guard and hit until they figure out the cues for when the ability is activated and after that, are only hit when they are in a position where they can no longer avoid it, such as Tanjiro when he was hit by a sound blast while in the air or Mitsuri when she was distracted and hit at point blank range. Also, this kind of topic happens all the time in fiction, and an example I can immediately think of is multiple versions of Black Canary from DC using a sound based attack as her superpower, yet can hit characters that scale to heavy hitters like Green Lantern and Superman (who can react to lightning and light speed attacks with even their weaker forms), so I tend to personally go for speed scaling for each verse that seems to be the most consistent and in the case of Demon Slayer, lightning timing and blitzing weaker lightning timers (like the Hashira do with early series Tanjiro, Inosuke and Zenitsu) seems to be the most consistent. The 2nd thing is Tanjiro's attack potency and durability, which is actually greater than City Block to Multi-City Block level thanks to Gyutaro when talking about feats, who immediately after being beheaded (which probably weakened him a bit) was able to unleash a large scale attack that reduced the entire Entertainment District to rubble, which scales to a Town level attack and the Kamado survived being right next to the attack without any noticeable damage from it that he didn't already receive from Gyutaro's normal strikes (implying that Gyutaro's normal blows also had about Town level attack potency at least to harm Tanjiro to begin with and if you don't agree, Akaza's strikes would at least be at that level thanks to being a far stronger Demon and there apparently being a large power gap between each rank of the Upper moon if you think Doma and Akaza's gap in power is similar between Upper moon 6 and 5 and so on and so forth until you reach Upper moon 1) and was only at risk of dying thanks to poison. If you use this, then Tanjiro being capable of tanking blows from Akaza and 2nd drug Muzan (and the Demon King's following drugged forms) and rival their strength, means that Tanjiro would likely scale far above Town level and reach into both City level and (depending on how you think Tanjiro truly scales to Drugged Muzan and thus Kokushibo) may be upscaled into even Mountain level, despite his end of series self having the strongest poison in his system through Muzan, but had damaged internal organs since we see him coughing up blood throughout the final fight. In fact, depending on translations for the Demon Slayer Manga, Enmu will claim during his death that the Upper moons have buried mountains and we see the silhouette of Daki during that statement, and taking that seriously, would put Daki, who is the weakest of the Upper moons, would be mountain level and Tanjiro is at least a rival to Akaza, who is Upper moon 3, and thus would greatly scale up from Daki's own Mountain level power.

He shows a manga panel of the mountain burying translation I mentioned and the calculation for Gyutaro destroying the Entertainment District. Also, as far as I am aware, the Entertainment District is likely around the size of a town since it is a highly populated area, so it would likely need to be big for so many people to work and live there.

Ok so for me, Tanjiro would probably beat the brakes off Yuji in a fight. So first off, Tanjiro is literally superhuman in every way thanks to his crazy strong breathing style. He's faster, stronger than any normal human by a long shot. Plus Tanjiro has all these busted breathing techniques Yuji would have zero defense for. Shockwaves, air control, slashes from a meter away. Yuji wouldn't even know what hit him. But most importantly, Tanjiro can negate regeneration with his Sun Breathing. And Yuji relies on Sukuna to heal, without that, he's just a really strong guy. There's also Tanjiro's “future sight” and crazy senses. He'd dodge everything Yuji threw and find an opening to Yuji’s form. And for Yuji’s part: even with Tanjiro's enhanced senses, Yuji's shown that he can catch opponents off guard with his speed and flexibility as seen with his fight against Mahito and Choso. Plus Yuji's no slouch with weapons either. We've seen him go toe-to-toe against sorcerers and cursed spirits who use actual weapons or cursed tools. I don't think Tanjiro has faced many fighters THIS skilled before. More importantly, Yuji has taken insane damage and just kept fighting like it was nothing. Even if Tanjiro lands some attacks, I'm not sure they'd slow Yuji down much before he gets in Tanjiro's face. But what really clinches it is if Yuji taps into Sukuna's power. We've seen Sukuna using his cursed technique to absolutely obliterate anything. Tanjiro is still way faster than Yuji, And we've seen Tanjiro fight the Demon King, where he was the one avoiding each and every one of Muzan's attacks like they were nothing. And we're talking about a dude who could vanish and reappear anywhere in an instant. But Tanjiro was still following every one of his attacks perfectly with just his senses, regardless if he was drugged, he is still the demon king. With how tough they both are, it'd probably come down to who lands the first decisive blow. One mistake could be THE difference. But i’d say that no matter what, Tanjiro has shown too much potential, compared to that of Yuji’s.

Just one thing about the speed scaling in DS; while yes the characters weren't able to dodge attacks that can move at the speed of sound despite being stated to move faster than lightning, YOU CANT SEE SOUND. I don't know if you thought that they'd have some like sensory abilities to be able to see those attacks but no normal human can see sound, and these are just humans on some godlike steroids. Anyhow you can't see sound but if the attacks were visible they 100% could've dodged it.

What I have immediately gotta say is your scaling Yuji to what is supposed to "take out a special grade" i.e the carpet bombs when he is clearly not taking out the special grade. Its kinda like a grenade instead of the carpet bomb it'll still do damage to the area just it has no chance at destroying the street in one go, so needless to say that scaling didn't really make sense to me. I think Yuji durability feats are higher than his ap mainly from him against sukuna.

Yuji would easily win regardless of what broken reasoning is. Cursed energy cannot be perceived by tanjiro. Yuji can literally break building, throw cars, etc. Yuji is part curse giving him superhuman body ajun to a demon. Yuji divergent first and black flash can literally blow holes through tanjiro. Eh, I don't see it tbh. The 'lightning' in demon slayer has zero proof of being natural, and natural lightning moves faster than slayer arts, ontop of how it's consistently shown that they cap out at sound speed, I don't think Tanjiro really has a chance. He;s physically much weaker, deals typically with weaker opponents than yuji doe, and JJK being sound speed just isn't a fact anymore. Within the recent events of the series, along side calculations that put Yuji at the bare minimum mhs, Yuji would blitz.

Saying they cap at sound level is being extremely disingenuous when we take into consideration how people like Tanjiro all the way he in season 1 had to dogde invisible attacks that were stated to be as fast as sound from the drum demon, or moments where Zenitsu is shown breaking the sound barrier from just dashing in the mointains. But when they faced some of the weakest uppermooms/hashiras they got blizted so badly to the point where they looked to be teleporting.

I'm not a power scaler but Nanami has also caused an earthquake before, and yuji at this point in the story is much, much stronger than Nanami. I haven't read the demon slayer manga but if tanjiro has enough AP to one shot a town than he should be comfortably above yuji.

This is similar to a fight i had a while ago, me and this friend boxed and though i had the power and strength to win as well as the durability and endurance he was much faster than me and had a longer range (sort of like tanjiro using a sword vs Yuji with his hands im this match) very hard to land a good hit and it could have went either way considering i landed a few good hits but overall whats the point of that strength and power if you aren’t fast enough to connect with it you know?
