It’s been 34 years since this happened so Wendy is 52 now. I was scared when I heard what was happening to her. If I was in a situation like this, I’d be scarred for quite some time. But my mother told me I have my ancestors to protect me and protection and this happened on September 7, which was a week before my brother Andrew’s fifth birthday. At the time this happened, my family and I were living in Fountain Hills, Arizona, and Andrew and I were at school. He was in his last year of preschool and I was in first grade. I’m sure Wendy can never thank Ray enough for what he did to help her.

@@shawnduncan5779*Beretta 92F. It was the first iteration of the new 92 series before the military got the 92FS/M9 due to slides fracturing. Then, subsequently, LAPD and L.A. County Sheriff's Office were all equipped with Beretta's. Easier to carry, higher capacity, cheaper to buy, easier to obtain. More officers can qualify with the 9mm rather than the big bulky heavy .357 Magnum. Due to military testing, the 124gr 9mm NATO round was developed. Performance of a .357 Magnum but with 15 rounds, at a cost of shortened durability. The M9 passed the 1985 military handgun trials; the M9 fired 35,000 rounds of 9mm NATO, despite the handgun designed for use with 115gr ammo. With care, maintenance, and 115gr ammo, it's not uncommon for a Beretta 92FS to last 200,000 rounds. Hollowpoints improved lethal neutralization and wounding incapacitation.

I've always had this recurring nightmare where 4 people are trying to break into my house. In the dream I try to dial 911, but I can never get the phone to work, or I dial the wrong number. Sometimes I'm able to escape out the back door, but usually I end up being held hostage. I have this dream anywhere from 5-10 times a year, and I hate it. +Austin “Bouse” Barker As a female shooter, I say "Oh please! 22lr? Fuck that weak shit." That "women should use little guns" argument is stupid. A .22lr is underpowered. If you wouldn't use a .22lr gun to bring down a 150lb buck who is minding his own business, why do you expect a woman to use it to bring down a 250lb man who is attacking her? I never shoot anything less than a 9mm, and my carry gun is a .40 S&W. most women have no trouble with a 12 gauge if they are taught to use it. I love my 12 gauge Mossberg 500. I shoot 3 inch slugs out of that thing without a problem, and I was once in therapy for weak arm strength. If I can shoot it, anyone can.

Could be a hostage situation. Could be a high speed chase. Bystanders could be hurt or killed. Suspects might never be caught. They knew she was safe under the bed.
