Broman Razor from the UK, Pete & Pedro Preshave Oil, Caoba Shave Soap. 1st use and opinion.

I too purchased one mid-January and it was delivered a few weeks ago here in the US. Since its delivery unfortunately, I've been down having a herniated disc in my lower back with a pinched sciatic nerve... literally having to crawl around the house in agony with nothing to do but watch KZbin. Having had a bit of relief the past few days, your review was the motivation I needed to put the new Broman to use with a Personna lab blue. Pleasantly surprised is an understatement--I was blown away by its smoothness and efficiency. I also have the Oneblade Genesis, and while their construction may be superior, the shave is not. This Broman is going to be my new favorite for rushed mornings. I'll still keep my collection of DE safeties (and perhaps the Oneblade), but they're going to see a lot less use. Not bad for under $55 USD shipped. Being able to use the vast selection of cheap DE blades is an added bonus. It is a potential "cartridge killer" in my opinion if the masses would give it a go.

I bought one on the strength of your video and have used it 3 times as of the am. Twice with the enclosed "half" blade and this morning with half of a Feather. My shave, with the Feather, is almost a BBS. The razor, in my hands at least" almost feels as if there is "NO" blade. I find myself having to actually apply a bit of pressure to get a close shave. i may get a true BBS with more practice or perhaps a different blade. A bit counter-intuitive after years of DE shaving but it doesn't seem to shave otherwise. Perhaps it's just me but it makes my Feather AS-D2 feel aggressive in comparison. It would probably be a good "transition" razor from cartridge razors if it were only a bit cheaper. ($19.95 for the RazoRock kit in your last video is unbeatable.)

I don't like these other single edge razors that take other than DE blades, I just like to bin the blade after every use, just the Feather de blades I tend to get 4-6 uses. Got a question for you, is the saloon pack just a certain kind of pack or is it a different kind of blade ? Ive used the Wilkinson sword blades in the black packs & they dont really agree with me was wondering if the kind you use are different I might try them if they are 👍💈
