These are excellent broms. They were the first ones I ever bought. Fast growers and love full sun! Mine are on palms and terrestrial and have flowered and pup very quickly. Their orange and red colours make the garden pop!

They really are as close to bullet-proof as any bromeliad can be!

Oh that could be dangerous for me- so many wonderful Bromeliads. Let’s all mention Rusty and Island Breeze Tropicals when we order! 😊

There are some books about BROMEIADS OF THE ATLANTIC FOREST (BRAZIL) by Elton M.C. Leme translated to english too. In Brazil there are so many natives bromeliads this one at the video BROMELIA PORTO SEGURO there are a lot of in PORTO SEGURO - a city in the south of Bahia.

Hi. I have several AECHMEA BLANCHETIANA 'KEY LIME'. I know the designer said to limit nitrogen to maintain the color. What fertilizer do you recommend. Thanks 😊

im new to bromeliads and am loving your channel. Learning so much! i saw a bromeliad that is very yellow and very large. Looks very much like the aechmea blanchetiana, just super yellow. Gets huuuge. do you know its name so that i can try to find it to purchase it
@islandbreezetropicals1276 Жыл бұрын
There are A. blanchetiana that do get very yellow and are quite large, but they are given a lot of different names, sometimes given by the individual grower or seller on a whim. The one in the vid has always been called Yellow 'Wide Leaf" but that might be the case for that plant as well.
