Looking forward to Tangle Tuesday! Thank you so much for your incredible knowledge and your gift of teaching! I'm trying to apply your scientific know-how to my collection here in Bonita Springs and it has helped tremendously. Very grateful!

I've got 6 voodoo doll neos...they were grown under 50% shsde cloth. I kept them in shade then did a gradual light movement. They lightly bleached, so back under 70% cloth and don't like it there with shades of green. These neoregelia are gorgeous but very subjective to what light they want!!! Great video, Rusty.

Mike, I have given up on changing light exposure on a lot of my broms abt a month and a half on either side of the summer solstice... if it isn't broken I've finally learned to leave well enough alone until the angle of the sun is less direct. Really appreciate you watching!

@islandbreezetropicals1276 indeed mate. I also let the vast majority of my broms 'deal with it and toughen up!' and only move the bigger neos if they are def suffering. Keep up the video topics, loving it!

Yeah, if you are playing the long game you can let the original plant take a beating and allow the pups grow up sun hardy.

Do you know how much this applies to other plants? Everywhere people tell you to only gradually put your plants outdoor. But if the leaves would get sunburnt anyway, wouldn't the only concern be whether the sudden change in location shocks the plant? I tried looking up how much leaves can adapt once already formed but all the results I get are those articles talking about bringing houseplants outdoor.

I have noticed that in the far north (sub tropical) of New Zealand our summers are definitely getting hotter. One large pup i bought really suffered from the sun. I am a beginner with broms but i am certainly learning fast! All i have to do now is figure out where to put them so they dont lose their colour in the shade and dont get burned from tge sun!!! Ho hum ....
